They can only be strong in attracting advertisers when they have a huge share of the Malaysian TV audience and unfortunately, many still continue to subscribe to Ass-teruk. Its also even worse when Ass-teruk also capture a portion of the Free-To-Air TV audiences with NJOI which also competes with other FTA TV stations such as TV3, TV9, etc!! Ass-teruk virus also spreads to "internet viewing" using the "On Demand" which competes with iFlix, Netflix and others! Ass-teruk also put their "dirty" feet into the cinema market by showing recently released cinema movies!

Ass-teruk has already expanded "everywhere" with its poison and the weird thing is that many people still pay for it! Its not a matter of helping a company to survive, its a matter of helping a company to grow too big and becoming a big bully treating consumers with sh*t (I self-censor).

As I have mentioned before, after the Rio Olympics, I have already downgraded to cancel Sports Pack. I rather pay more for Netflix and iFlix (even if not good) and NOT pay a single cent extra for Ass-teruk! After I get "other alternatives" fully ready for my home entertainment, its bye bye to Ass-teruk for me. If this continues with more and more commercials from Ass-teruk and extremely many repeats and repeats AND more future price increases AND more new "Go Shop" style channels AND more NJOI channels that treats Paid Subscribers as FOOLS... then I can 100% understand why PIRACY will still continue to increase. I ask everyone here... will you still continue to support Ass-teruk? Unfortunately many still continue to support. I know there is at least ONE IDIOT here who will still love Ass-teruk and defend Ass-teruk when anyone criticize this big monster company.

In the near future... when the situation becomes like this...
(a) watch free TV channels with 3 years old programming AND 60% commercials (12 hours broadcast from TV3)
(b) watch Ass-teruk TV channels with 1 year old programming with lots lots of repeats AND 60% commercials (24 hours broadcast) AND also PAY MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTIONS.
... I feel little difference between (a) and (b) so why pay for (b)? I rather go for (a) because I will feel like a fool to take (b).

At this present situation, even if monopoly is terminated, Ass-teruk will still make lots of money because this monster has already grown too big into so many different markets from latest Cinema Movies (First and Best channels), to On Demand using internet, to Free-To-Air TV channels, to IPTV, to ventures into markets in other countries. IF anyone here says that Ass-teruk will suffer without monopoly in 2017, I will just laugh at such nonsense.

Astro should abolish HD service fee. Still want charge expensive for little best original HD channel. More than 20 HD channel are Astro in-house
Look at TM HyppTV can purchase one channel and not charge HD fee. But yeah now TM want more money by bundle UniFi with HyppTV pack
Both Astro and TM just want money only. Astro should give more original HD channel than their in-house boring channel instead

And please move to MPEG4 for better viewing experience rather than crappy SD channel with MPEG2
Astro OD most SD content i check just like their using MPEG4 for most SD channel on OD. And i a bit surprise by Disney Junior on Demand HD
Atleast give la one or two HD channel on Kids Pack. Kids Pack still don't have HD channel. Please give Cartoon Network HD. I wait more than 4 years but still don't add that channel
Maybe if Astro want to offer OD their should move atleast SD 16:9 MPEG4 picture quality for better viewing.

Astro should focus on offering more HD channel than on-demand service. Not all Astro TV subscribers have Wi-Fi at home. Subcribe Astro but want to watch Arrow also don't have. Only TV3 show that on tv. Please la Astro give us WarnerTV HD. I want to watch new Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow and other

I hope Astro don't just focus on new OD service that need Wi-Fi at home to use. Astro should thinking customers in kampung area that don't have internet. Thats why them subscribe Astro! For what? TV channel!! Not OD with need Wi-Fi!

Just offer more good HD channel with cheap price already enough!

For my opinion, I think it will be included as free HD channel (as long you are using B.yond decoder) just like Astro Maya HD, Astro Xi Yue HD, Go Shop and Go Asean. Because TV3 (and the rest of Media Prima channels) is a FTA channels, it sounds impossible for Astro to make it as a pay channel on Astro platform.

Anybody noticed Awani is now doing major programming change.
The hourly bulletins are removed a lot and they have now all these strange documentaries / infotainment things.

English bulletins are now added, if that is the only good aspect I see.

Quite a lot of this DW (some German network) documentaries. I used to see these documentaries a lot back during the early days of ntv7. Is there some sort of affiliation with this German network now?
