Does anyone of u already have Supersport 4 HD or Arena HD? I know maybe Arena HD might launch together with the Olympic Channels but where is Supersport 4 HD? What ch num? Rite now, i only got beIN sports

I'm a bit surprised if ASSP 4 HD is not launched this month. It doesn't matter if people are not going to pay attention to it just because there are the Olympic channels.

The fact is, sports pack price goes up no matter what people pay attention to.

Sync problem with Arena HD rite now. Picture 1st, sound late. It happened before when it was temporary channel. Still having problems i see.

Yup. It was noticeable during the Iraq vs Denmark football match preview. Maybe a second late maximum but like I said, it happened to the temporary Arena HD before so It was obvious. Didn't watch after that though.

By d way, what feed is astro using for beIN sports? I see that the rights for football is different here than in other countries. Could it be we are getting an Astro version of beIN?

I have juz been browsing through the Tv guide for the sports channel for football next weekend when the Premier League season starts. Wanted to see what channel has what and wheter the RM8.48 price hike brings anything new. This is my summary of the channels for football:

Astro Supersport 1,2,3:
English Premier League
Champions League & Europa League from group stage onwards

Fox Sports1,2,3:
German Bundesliga
Duthch Eridivise

beIN sports:
French Ligue 1
Spanish La Liga

Not covered:
Italian Serie A
English Championship
English Capital One League Cup

So from what I see, there is nothing new. The leagues and cup that i mentioned there as not covered is significant because, 2 seasons ago it was there, last season all of it plus French Ligue 1 was not covered, and this season still not there. Ofcourse maybe not important leagues and cups but it should be covered especially with the price hike.

And beIN sports is such a rojak channel to save Astro the costs of getting La Liga and French Ligue 1 rights individually. It is very evident to me the cost of getting the Premier League rights has forced Astro to drop rights for other things they had previously.

And one more thing. When they announced they had secured the Premier League rights back in February, they stated that all 380 games will be LIVE on Tv and on the go. I was thinking they would have temporary channels up every weekend to broadcast games simultenously like they do in the US and Australia. Something similar to the Olympic channels now but i just checked, and there are still games that will be shown on Delay on TV. So there's another lie from them.

Can anyone guide me to what feed is Astro using for beIN sports?

I meant what international feed were they using? Middle-east? Singapore? Indonesia?

And where is beIN sports SD?

What a waste of a channel. Could have been so better yet they juz rojak La Liga n French Ligue 1 into this channel and walla u have a new channel. If they had gotten the Middle East of even the Australian feed, would have been worth the hike

Yeah i know. Was happy when they announced that channel was to be added. Disapointed with the content though. I know the rights are different for each country and region but still with some of the 'missing' leagues and cups that Astro previously had, i had hoped they would have put that into their rojak too..but they didn't.

So we end up with rojak with sotong but dont have telur or d timun n d other tasty bit. Juz rojak only

Nope. Fox Sports Asia do not show any more EPL matches. All sapu by Astro Suckysport channels and their boring host, pundits and analysis..

My dad is currently on Superpack 1. He says he wants to take out movie package. Bored of the same movies.

So i was doing the calculator thing, and everything ok tapi i not sure what to click for hd, recording service. Is it combined now? The calculator i used had it as seperate things.

Can someone plz tell me where the heck has Arena HD gone to?

We start paying the new price this month, was promised beIN sports, Supersport HD 4 and Arena HD but coming to the end of August, only 1 of those channels are there? Cut the crap man. Charge us for new channels and content but hardly there.

I nak potong sports and movie pack. Getting an android box and a very high quality iptv service with great sports and entertainment channels in the coming few weeks. Fark off price hike and lousy low quality sports channels and content on astro

Yup. All 12 beIN sports channels plus all 5 SkySports channels. Used it already. But i dunno about that minimum 50fps thingy but definitely in HD. Pm me if u want to know more.

I bolded the part from the press release when Astro won the rights for the EPL back in Februay. It states that all games will be LIVE IN HD ON TV as well as AOTG. And Astro used this reason to hike up the price for the sports package.

Now let me just share this with u. This is week 3 of the EPL and this is the stats for the number of LIVE GAMES IN HD ON TV that Astro has shown.

Week 1: 7 out of 10 games Live

Week 2: 8 out of 10 games Live

Week 3: 6 out of 10 games Live

Now obviously, that is still a big number of games shown Live but if you look back at Astro's statement when they won the rights, to the price hike that apparrently was because of the expensive sports content, then customers are being treated poorly. You're paying more than before, promised more matches than before yet it's a very lousy service given by Astro.

You have other countries like Singapore, the US and Australia who open up temporary channels on matchdays to show all the matches being played at the same time and all 380 matches in the season are Live. Yet here we are in Malaysia, paying more than before but still getting matches on delay. Don't get me started on the leagues that Astro have dropped to cater to their EPL coverage and their pure rojak takda telor beIN sports channel.

And we still don't even have FOX Sports 2 and 3 in HD!!!!

The early and late games on Saturday (which usually is the Big game of the week) is on Supersport 3 and Supersport 3 HD. The two usual Sunday games are also on that channel.

Supersport and Supersport 2 has 1 game each on Saturday only. This past weekend, only Supersport had a LIVE game, Supersport 2 didnt show a game. The rest of the Live games were on Supersport 3.

In short, Supersport 3 has the bulk and also the main and big matches, including the big games from the Champions League too. That is why the channel is not under the sports Lite package so be aware of that before you subscribe hoping for the best games from the EPL.

Yup. Channel 836 for Supersport 4HD. Seriously the sports channels are all over the place.

Arena HD is also back on.
