We are moving toward HD now. Believe there is very limited SD source, so NJOI will eventually converted to HD as the current decoders for NJOI are HD enabled.

Previously, all tv programs were in black & white and now all are in coloured.
SD will be phased out once HD is no longer a premium as at now.  UHD or 4K will be the next premium services Astro may offer later.
Most of the programs are HD enabled or going to be HD soon, and just that Ass-throw has the bandwidth limitation and costs to do so.

Fyi only, Screen shots the new fyi channel, Sony channel and the Indonesia channel. E! has also been upgraded to HD format on StarHub. For sharing only.

i was browsing wiki for upcoming astro channels and got this..

it is so good to be true and i am really hoping that it can turn out to be possible. with these channels, i wont mind paying extra as well

The person who edited the wiki page must suffer some psychiatric issues. The list is too good to be true and even Astro said that only 6 HD & 2 SD channels coming. So 2 HD channels will be AEC & SHUANG XING. TBH, the existing channels like CARTOON NETWORK, FOX, NAT GEO WILD, DIVA, E!, MTV, CNN etc all have HD versions but yet to be featured on the lineup. So I really doubt the new HD channels will be brand new channels instead just the HD versions of the existing channels.

do you guys realize that recently Astro been practicing on self-censorship more frequently on TVB dramas air in WLT?

they have blurred out the gore scenes, the "nudity" poster, rude words (not even profanity)

looks like they are even more asspicky than RTM/Mediaprima combined

I received a letter from Astro informing me that HD service price will be increased by RM5.
Also, in the letter, it stated 8 new HD channels:

1. Hits HD (CH 720) = ???
2. Fox HD (CH 724) = Variety
3. Astro AEC HD (CH 306) = Basic
4. Astro Shuang Xing HD (CH 307) = Dynasty
5. Fox Family Movies HD (CH 430) = Movie
6. Fox Action Movies HD (CH 434) = Movie
7. Diva Universal HD (CH 723) = Basic
8. FYI HD (CH 736) = Metro

These channels will be available to me from 16/11/2014 to 28/02/2015, after that the access to these channels will be based on the subscription entitlement.

I guess Hits HD will most probably be included in Variety pack.

SINGAPORE: RTL CBS Asia Entertainment HD has secured the exclusive regional pay-TV broadcast rights for the 72nd annual Golden Globe Awards, which will air live in January 2015.

The agreement was inked with d*** clark productions International (DCP International). The Golden Globes recognize excellence in film and television, both in the U.S. and internationally. The move comes on the back of RTL CBS Asia Entertainment HD scoring the rights for the Billboard Music Awards, the Hollywood Film Awards, the People Magazine Awards and the American Music Awards.

When you click value packs it shows RM80 then if u add basic HD service and PVR it becomes RM107, what is Basic HD services??????????????
