Got my unifi upgraded to 30mbps this week. The time is near for me to say goodbye to astro's sports pack. You raised the price but still serve the same poor content. By the end of this month, astro, u will lose another customer who has been loyal to u all these years.

Okay, replacing SD with HD instead on same number is okay, but the rest of us still waiting for Fox Sports 2, 3 & News in HD. Maybe they should take same feed as HyppTV one.

Kan? Not a single original channel was added. All rojak and in house channel. How many were dropped?

Should compare with how many new channels our neighbours have got this year.

Yes. I think I can relate with my situation here...

On July, Astro's feedback department called me to conduct a survey from me and asked me these questions:

1) Do you (and your family) like to watch horror/thriller shows or movies? Well, I say no.

2) And do you like to watch foreign language shows like from Thailand, Philippines or Korean? I say, perhaps Korean programmes.

3) Because Sports pack is expensive, what if we introduce another version of Sports pack, where it consists of 3 sports channels that mix with a variety of sports genres/content such as football, badminton, F1 racing, etc. And that package costs around RM21, do you think it's worth it? Then I ask, is the 3 channels are in HD? He said no, all are SD. I tell them without hesitation, not worth it! Then he says, how about if the package is RM13, is it worth it? Still, I said no, if the package has HD, then maybe I'll consider.

In this conversation, because it is from the feedback department, their talking tone is so much customer-friendly, caring and willing-to-listen type compared to calling Astro customer service hotline on 03-9543 3838 or even asking any enquiries by email Astro or Astro fb page, which is so much worse.

I agree with you. Anything that is not HD should be thrown down the drain. UK already has ULTRA HD EPL Games on BT Sports, ASTRO want to introduce SD !

It's not RM20 anymore. It's either RM18.02 (Family HD) or RM26.50 (now bundled with PVR service).
As of now, Astro only provide 5 HD channels to all B.yond customers, which are Go Shop Malay, Astro Maya HD, Astro Xi Yue HD, Go Shop Chinese, Go Asean.

Based on how "calculative" of Astro are, they won't provide HD for free because they know HD is an attractive offer for customers, and they are trying to gain profit from customers paying for HD.

I will be downgrading my Superpack 1 package this coming week. What is the best way to do this? Thru phone, thru ch200 or by their website?

I want to get it downgraded without any begging from them and i want it to be done immediately. I think i want to do it thu their website. Is it ok? What is the experience of those who have done it before?

Astro are planning launch Astro Quan Jia HD & Astro AEC HD for all NJOI customers starting 6 October 2016.

Ch200 is not possible to downgrade packages. Astro won't make customers so easy to cancel packages one...
Best way is either do it online via Astro Self Service here http://www.astro.com.my/SelfService/ or call their customer service.

But you need to know that just because you want to cancel, they won't cancel for you on the spot that day you tell them to cancel.
They will cancel it for you according on your bill date.

Example if your billing date starts at 16/9/2016-17/10/2016.
Today is already 21 Sept, so you can only get your Super Pack removed from your subscription after your bill date over, which is 17/10/2016.
They will schedule a package removal for you once the bill date is over.

A person here mentioned that the info was obtained from the malay version of Wikipedia. I don't even want to mention that person's name. Wikipedia cannot be trusted to be correct 100% !! Anyone can edit and change any info inside Wikipedia, no need to verify or show proof. Not only Ass-throw people can change, everyone can change it. True or not, who knows?... maybe that "person" intentionally added this info or maybe he didn't so I don't really know. Anyway, I think you know who I suspect! Just remember, don't rely too much on it... especially when given by "that person" or is he a human?

The only way to know if its true is to check the Ass-throw official website but I don't know whether they will announce it there.

"Beware of unofficial Njoi websites" and Wikipedia is one of them. I think Ass-throw knows about the inaccurate info from such websites and probably getting worse causing Ass-throw to announce it at their website.

Just want to share my experience dropping packages with astro today.

First of all, u can only drop packages on the phone. Can't do it thru the self-service website or even ch200..so i was on superpack 1. Wanted to drop the sports, movies, mustika and WWE Network packages. Wanted to move to family pack extra, 3 mini packages and wifey wanted korean pack. I also already have multiroom and hd/pvr so wanted to keep that.

Guess what, from superpack1, want to drop packages, your total amount cannot be below rm100..i was like wtf? Since when your total must be Rm101 and above? The cs guy said the system wouldn't allow it. Was it becoz of multiroom? As far as i know, if ur bill is below rm100, u have to pay more than rm50 for ur 2nd decoder. I was baffled. So i took what the cheapes option next was, to take 1 more mini package.

I dont mind that i had to take d extra mini package but seriously wtf u have to keep ur bill above rm100? Anyways, sayonara expensive, low content sports package, repeat and repeat and repeat movie package and mustika too. Astro have lost another sports package subscriber today

Besides Tara HD and introducing additional new (mini) pack, another boring month for Astroll...
