Lel if AEC SD version is gone what would NJOI users get? I'm sure AEC HD (if it's available on NJOI) will be charged if they remove the SD version.

We are moving toward HD now. Believe there is very limited SD source, so NJOI will eventually converted to HD as the current decoders for NJOI are HD enabled.

Question is, will Astro be generous enough to provide free HD channel on NJOI? (RTM, Media Prima etc) future HD channels might be free on NJOI, but does Astro have the ball to provide some in-house HD channel free?

Previously, all tv programs were in black & white and now all are in coloured.
SD will be phased out once HD is no longer a premium as at now. UHD or 4K will be the next premium services Astro may offer later.
Most of the programs are HD enabled or going to be HD soon, and just that Ass-throw has the bandwidth limitation and costs to do so.

With the crappy (over)compression, maybe they should observe the upcoming 4K channel from Japan 1st.

NJOI maybe HD enabled but I doubt asstro Malaysia will provide Free HD............ though in UK there are HD channels for for free satelite Tv Customers are ready to go HD but asstro is money faced the HD fee of RM20 and too many boring In House JV channels are what holding many from upgrading.

Yup.. I also having the same problem

So im not alone. The picture tend to pixelate. It seems i have no problem with signal strength

I have also checked the dish & the wiring i can't see any problem. So its either a problem with astro side or the decoder.

I've made a complaint to astro CS & now waiting for technician to come & check. I advise you to do the same.

hey guys, need to ask. the PVR service is it need to pay every month? right now astro ask me to redeem a free PVR using my circle points. But it didn't say PVR service is free or charge every month

Seems like the problem resolved by itself just now... dunno if Astro did anything on their side..

This evening suddenly after I changed channel the decoder cannot get any signal and then freezed/hang..

So I decided to hard reboot the device and after restart there is no more intermittent picture break or lagging remote..
everything is smooth and clear

Need to ask can I install Astro IPTV and HyppTV in a same room in my condo. TQ

If astro got competitor sure will give FREE HD channel for NJOI like in Indonesia...but in Malaysia only astro..
