Some interesting tweet from Tim Schafer after some outrage from backers and funders regarding to the $3.5mil spent on the recent 2D adventure game "Broken Age". Do you believe cost of game development is getting higher and higher to a point that kickstarter will not work and what about future of game development.

Tim Schafer is lying about the cost.
Most of his budget is wasted due to him hiring his buddies for extravagant paychecks where they spend most of the time doing nothing

They are probably using AAA salary of game industry to justify their spending, I still consider them as indie game dev

$10K per month is cheap in Cali. Google coders are paid 10x that.
