I seen my frens and colleagues playing dota2 like very syiok/and crazy.

They said it can be addictive.

So i give a try to play it.

I think i have played for about 11hours.

And the reason i created this topic is to find someone who is willing to teach me or guide me playing dota2.

GL bro, try to improve by watching tournament and look at professional replay, read hero guides etc.

A person can only guide you so far. If you really want to play decently you have to learn most of the stuff yourself.

Speaking from my own experience.

start to train 1 hero 1st, best hero for newbie is riki

The only way to improve is to play more.
Sniper is a good start.

Yeah, Sniper have good range and like the last skill.
But still have no idea, what item works best for Sniper.

Watch games and read guides and practice.

get some wraith band then follow by shadow blade.
Late game will be butterfly and other dmg items.

sniper and viper are for beginner,coz they are quite easy to use
they are both agility hero
start with wraith band and tango and farm ur shoes and can follow the suggested items

try to find what role suit u...support,carry,initiator.
watch tourney at twitch tv...item is depend on game..enemy hero..
alot of thinkin and decision making on this game..u will be good..

last but not least, expect to get scolded by kids, immature adults and those "perfect" players. Suck in the positive, vomit back the negative. Get past this and you are set to have fun

Beginner try to avoid those heros who need to press many button and precise reaction.

Ow ya, be ready to get flame for sure.

play with ai a lot more easier to learn.

It is a good strat to understand all the heroes.

Yeah, doing that and taking note of the item people buy for that character.

But i notice people target me and always chase me.. Got to learn to farm...

but for now not choosing much character as im trying to be a good player with 4 characters first...

Huhu, even ai hardmode is damn hard...not even once i can win..

welcome to dota2, try hero like warlord. 1 aoe and u r done with ur work. or sandking with blink dagger ulti combo... or lich... all these are easy hero against ai... once u get bored with these heroes that can abuse ai, go for farm base heroes. like a drow ranger with manta and shadow blade. or heroes like sniper... then u r all set to join pubby game. and start playing other heroes hehe.

Can try playing supporters first, and continue into tanker and carry.

Watching tournament replay helps a lot too, good luck have fun!

First time I play , Lich .
I can say it's kinda easy to play with lich , just don't play carry , it'll make your whole teammates to blame you , why lich ?
Pros :
Aoe first skills with not bad damage and slow .
Frost armor , can armor for tower now too .
Sacrifice eat up 1 creep for your mana , means your mana never ends , plus deny enemy's exp .
Jumping ulti , it'll make a lot of people running like shit , when saw his ulti .
Cons :
Don't have long hp (Better than those agi carry)
Mostly single target nuke .

Well , just warding stay behind when team fight .
Kills don't prove that you're good , unless you can solo kill all 5 heroes then you're good .
They'll scold you noob that's because maybe you're doing something really wrong , like map cautious , enemy heroes all gone , but you're still farming like no tomorrow , then got gang and blame teammate why no help why no ward why no report etc . Or teammate getting gb but you're still farming nearby and act nothing .
