hi, me n my father are looking to buy a mercedes benz e240. budget is around 80-90K. been searching on mudah and am finding models around 2005 and above lah....need to ask you guys what are the common problems i can expect with this car and any good dealers to look for? coz some of the dealers i found online kuat tipu... say got the car but go there show u something different from what is online.

Brake pump? Try google merc e240 problems..

With rm80-90k, i think abit hard to get w211 MY2005 and above.
if you are getting 2005 and below, yes. But then you will have problematic brake system.(pumps and the SBC)
imo, the older E class MY2000-2001 , those are the most reliable ones. Less problematic. and it only cost somewhere between rm25k-35k. Get Kompressor if you plan to use in town.

I agree with you, cause I read mostly say that W210 is the last of the over-engineered Mercedes.
Cause the W210 and W124 has less electronics compared to the newer versions.

Still the W210, with some outlook cosmetic mods (i.e change rim), it will still retain it's beauty.
Same goes for the W124.

i see.. coz im trying to get a 2005/2006 w211... what do you guys think... the 2004 model got problems?

also...is now a good time to buy cars.. or wait till year end/early next year
