On the mechanical front, this one ditches the old pre-facelift E 250 Coupe’s 1.8 litre CGI motor for a newer 2.0 litre turbocharged unit. It now has 211 hp and 350 Nm of torque, as opposed to the older engine’s 204 hp and 310 Nm. There are gains all around – its 0-100 km/h time drops from 7.6 to 7.1 seconds, while fuel economy jump from 13.9 to 15.4 km per litre. The seven-speed automatic ‘box is retained.

compare A5 Sportsback/Coupe which one better overall? I think A5 has nicer body but E-Class has nicer lights. And E-Class has better reliability for engine & gear. A5 engine eat oil & DSG is risky.

Yeah, lots of them on the road now, thanks to grey importers, 3 years back there were hardly any.

The latest A5 is i think a year older than the latest E Class.
