Logitech's racing wheel is not the best quality but rather is the best quality for the price range.

Logitech G27 is basically a replacement model for G25. The differences are not a lot actually. Logitech G25 has a shifter which can be changed either into a H-shifter or sequential shifter, whereas Logitech G27 has a H-shifter only. Logitech G25 doesn't have rev indicator LEDs, whereas Logitech G27 has. Other than that, I don't see any other differences. Here's a video link for your reference -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rx8mZKspLj4

You can get the G27 for around RM900+-. Here's a link for your reference -> https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/848172

Basically it boils down to budget. How much are you willing to spend on a steering wheel? Are PC and PlayStation (PS3/PS4) the only platforms you will ever race on? If you are willing to spend more, I suggest looking at Thrustmaster's offerings. As for Fanatec, it's too expensive to get. I don't think you want to know how much is Fanatec's offerings. As for bang for buck, Logitech G27 is the best choice here only if you only game on PC or PlayStation platforms. If you are looking for Xbox compatibility as well, then you have to take a look at other brands then.

G25 is being replaced by G27. If you still insist on G25, maybe you can search around in the Garage Sales section and see whether you still can find or not. If you can find one, most likely will be 2nd hand only.

If your budget is just around RM700, maybe you can consider the Logitech Driving Force GT wheel. That one should be within your budget range and have some to spare. That one also seems to be a very popular choice among PC sim racers.

Based on ur budget so far, I don't think there's any better choice than the G27.

For brands like Thrustmaster and Fanatec, their shifter is purchased separately. So, if that's the case, G27 is most likely ur choice.

I owned T500RS ( for PC sim ) and G27 ( for PS3 ). G27 FFB is quite good in GT6 ( set to simulation and max torque to 10 )

I custom made the frame a local welding shop near my house

Yep G27 is very nice, love how it works with the PC too.

I am tempted to do the brake mod as well.
