QUOTE(haturaya @ Oct 2 2014, 06:49 PM) It's like that. N4 GPS antenna is at the back cover. If you put it on your lap, of course your body 'block' GPS signal from above. Another factor is your car's tint. Metallic tint do block significant amount of signal coming through. Hence your N4 receive faint signal. Thanks very much fren, my car windows are all tinted with uv protection. That might be the caused. I thought my unit gone faulty or some apps make it miss behaved.now im worryless.

Just sit somewhere outside and place ur phone at ur lap When i m outdoor it lock position really fast as always, i think it wont lost gps signal if im not moving that much to test it. Now,if i lay it on my lap and not moving, i don think it will lost gps signal, if u understand me? Thanks fren.

Now i ask a guy who use one plus one and that problem didnt happen even if it was placed on the lap or virtually any place in his car and that it wouldnt lose gps signal.. nexus 4 design matter maybe..caused the gps at the back panel, not most phones built like that? Just curious.

QUOTE(haturaya @ Oct 4 2014, 08:39 PM) Many factors effect GPS signal reception. GPS antenna design and placement, GPS baseband chip, car tint, GPS firmware, etc... Can't simply say this one is better than that one. So many variables to be considered. As for N4, yes, the GPS is not it's strong point. But it's way better that Nexus S. Anyway, Nexus 5 GPS is the best among Nexus phones... Thank you for ur explanation, now glad to know nexus 5 has good gps performance, i know a little bit about what chipset being used in some phones, just like to check out for fun, haha. Ok, now regarding the n4, maybe as u said gps isnt its strong point.

QUOTE(ybpow @ Dec 20 2014, 12:32 PM) Better give them a call before you go. Last time I went to repair my N4 the staff said need to order from Korea Thanks bro, I called and they can't give definite answer when to collect it depend on the condition. However third party replacement using original battery only take 30mins that's what I have been told.

QUOTE(-Aktan- @ Dec 25 2014, 05:51 PM) why dont sell it as a whole phone? it has always been bad since day 1, do u have greenify? 5.0 and 5.0.1 seems not much difference for me.. The batt life was better than now, maybe batt's health condition time is up??

QUOTE(cowithgun @ Dec 26 2014, 10:41 AM) usually after every major upgrade, there are many background activities such as scanning and sync-ing. i'd let it settle in a few days before start monitoring for battery usage. in my non-scientific observation, lollipop has better battery life than kitkat. Good to know it bro, hopefully it get better battery life after awhile, let's see. Also, now with lollipop the WiFi always keep dropping, very unstable, argh, very frustrating..
