QUOTE(Haters_Gonna_H8 @ Sep 11 2014, 10:11 AM) appstore apps are better. less quality apps are available in playstore. i guess, it is due to more developers favouring app store ie ios apps because there are more paying users there. But the gap between Google Play and Appstore is getting smaller day by day.Apple isnt working hard enough to play by their strength. I think the death of Steve Jobs pretty much mean the fall of Apple too. This post has been edited by Cheesenium: Sep 11 2014, 10:18 AM |

QUOTE(Haters_Gonna_H8 @ Sep 11 2014, 10:24 AM) agreed. gaps are getting smaller, unlike 2 or 1 year ago. i personally emailed the developers of awesome note, asking them whether they will make their app available to all android phone and not just samsung note. they replied no, no plans to make the available to all android phone I guess Android still have some improvements to make, such as making it easier to port between one Android phone to the other. anote is awesome. beats evernote anytime. i just want it on my android phone Just give them time, it will happen eventually. |

QUOTE(NightFelix @ Sep 11 2014, 11:35 AM) I do admit that iOS is way optimized than Android, but we can't blame this because iOS is closed-source while Android is open-source. Apple strictly control on AppStore catalog, while PlayStore come with bunch of dupe apps everywhere. http://arstechnica.com/information-technol...its-unforkable/http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2013/10/goo...eans-necessary/ Android at the moment isnt as much more open source as iOS or Windows 7 these days. Pretty much all the main functions are closed sourced by Google. The only thing that is open source is pretty much the bare bones AOSP component that is basic. You pretty much cant make an Android phone with just AOSP, unless you are in China where you can make your own ecosystem. And I dont think Google is a lot lenient with their Play Store than Appstore. Appstore also have tonnes of garbage. |

QUOTE(LVL1NiNjA @ Sep 12 2014, 09:57 AM) The new iPhone and Watch lack charm that you would've expect from an Apple product, it looks unfinished and unpolished and plain boring in so many ways. I think after Steve Jobs passed away. Apple isnt just the same as before.Thing is, Apple suka syok-sendiri! Thinking that they're way superior than other competitors. Both products feels like its lead by those MBA idiots that know nothing much about making good devices other than making lots of money. 5C is also a retarded move. Maybe its time to jump ship soon but need to buy the iPod Classic before jumping ship. That thing is durable as hell with massive HDD space. QUOTE(PhakFuhZai @ Sep 12 2014, 10:17 AM) which one is more important? shareholders' pockets or Jobs' eccentric self-centered fake gospel? I am not saying who started first and I dont give a shit who started what features first. Even a bit also butt hurt d.even if Jobs still alive, he would had to make the same decision, or else risked of getting ousted by his board members this is the era where nobody gives a shiet on who started what first, it's rather on who can lasts longer in this rat race lel And I give zero shit on what the hell you use. QUOTE(PhakFuhZai @ Sep 12 2014, 10:17 AM) this is the era where nobody gives a shiet on who started what first, it's rather on who can lasts longer in this rat race Constant innovation and new ideas is the key to last longer in this so-called rat race. Once you stop innovating, which Apple is, you are out of the race.Consumer gives zero shit about your stupid board members as once you stopped putting appealing products, they stop buying. |

QUOTE(LVL1NiNjA @ Sep 12 2014, 03:32 PM) They are just riding on his legacy. I highly doubt so unless they have another visionary designer to lead their development.Apple have billions of dollars in revenue, I hope that they can come up with something really good and different. Since Steve's passing, the only thing that can reach the shock and awe level was the Mac Pro, at least to me. Both iPhone 6 and Watch feels like its typical MBA design lead products. It feels like it is just by the numbers sort of design. I cant really think of a feature that I really want from the new iPhone. The digital crown is pretty damn smart though while pressure sensitive touch screen seemed to be interesting. The ecosystem is quite good. The built quality is great like my ancient iPod Nano still works well. The UI, OS and stability is great. It just feel like it lack of a spark of brilliance that made me want to buy. Even the new Samsung Galaxy Note Edge feels cooler to me despite the curve screen will be quite a nuisance if i use it with my right hand or Z3's accessories where you can slap a DSLR lense on it. That is cool while the iPhone 6 is just more of the same. I know someone will say those new features are probably not very useful in practise but at least it feels like Samsung and Sony is making some progress in doing something new and innovative.
