Hello! My name is Shawn. I hope you don't mind me promoting my game here on the forums. The rules mention that I could do it to a 'certain degree'. I just thought it'd be kind of sad if my fellow Malaysians did not know we had a game published on Steam. Velocibox is the second Malaysian game to be published on Steam after Alpha Kimori by Sherman3D Velocibox is a twitch-heavy action game crafted for the hardcore audience. The premise of the game is simple - you guide a small orange box through devious arrays of obstacles while flipping up-down and side-to-side. Sounds like your typical endless runner? I wouldn't deny that it is. But I'll let you be the judge. Video Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=97BzvGljp_Y---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Reviews:Velocibox is one of a rare breed of games. Instead of trying to make itself more accessible, it challenges you from the get go—punishing those who aren’t good enough while rewarding those who master it with a supreme sense of satisfaction. - 9/10 Games in Asia
You will die many, many times, and slowly but surely learn the various patterns that are thrown at you, until eventually that accursed level 9 presents itself. Or you'll just never get any better and get stuck on level 3 like I did. Either way, it's pretty great fun. - IndieGames.com
It’s the crown on the head of the genre and it sparkles as incandescently as the greats beside it -Pixelated Paradise---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There is also a demo up on IndieDB that you can try out yourself http://www.indiedb.com/games/velociboxThe actual Steam Store page can be found here: http://store.steampowered.com/app/317710/I would love to hear your thoughts. Have fun! This post has been edited by shawnbeck: Oct 9 2014, 08:08 AM

QUOTE(leonhang @ Sep 11 2014, 07:19 PM) Did you develop everything by yourself ? Mostly, yes. The art and graphic designs were outsourced to a good friend of mine - graphic designer and artist, JT Yean (Check out his amazing work ) while the music was licensed from Laszlo of StrayBoom. I did everything else including the game design, level design, programming, effects, sound design, animation, and play-testing.

QUOTE(am3rr @ Sep 11 2014, 10:27 PM) damn. really good game, good effort ts. is this done by urself or a group of your team? Thanks Only graphic design and music weren't done by me. Mainly because I'm not a musical person. It was mostly solo for three months of development. This post has been edited by shawnbeck: Sep 11 2014, 11:22 PM

QUOTE(am3rr @ Sep 11 2014, 11:29 PM) the game was good but the difficulty progression is a little bit too fast in my opinion It's intentionally designed to be difficult from the get-go. It's no doubt not very friendly to newcomers or people unfamiliar with the genre, but I'm certain that you'll come to understand why it is the way it is as you invest more time into the game - As proven by this reviewer who disagreed with me initially : http://indiegameenthusiast.blogspot.com/20...-velocibox.html
