I have been researching the headset model from the suggested brand since the reply, but neither Superlux, ATH nor Koss has anything fit within my budget range, and Mi does not have any headset. Therefore, just left HP, appreciate if someone can comment on whether any of the model from HP below is a good buy?
1.) HP H1500 Headset
2.) HP Business Headset

Besides HP, is any of Edifier or Logitech produces reasonable headset such as the model below?
Edifier: K550, K800, K820, K830
Logitech: H110, H111, H150, H151

So here I am on the KZ impressions thread. Let's recap the further adventures of TWIN, shall we? When we last left our hero (MOI), I had decided that I liked the Gold Nozzles and through rolling a huge number of tips had concluded that BOTH nozzles sounded best to my ears with the Auvio Medium tips on the ED9.


FLASH FORWARD.....

Stardate 22 37.16  We now have 125 hours on the critters and now I have time for my First real critical listen, fire them up and Things have changed in a BIG WAY, probably the most change due to burn-in I have experienced yet. Unfortunately it is NOT for the Good. The Bass has become dominant, Bloated and Slow, reaching into mid Bass and Low Mids and coloring everything. The actual Mids have become so recessed that vocals sound distant. HOWEVER the Treble is precise and Perfect. WTF? Well maybe I can EQ them. So I put them back to the Burn -in Station and Left for work.

WHILE I'm driving down to Cincinnati, I am pondering the change, how to correct it and disappointed as I had such high hopes. These things are as bad as BEATS or even worse.

THEN IT HIT ME. "Hey Dumbass, You have another set of Nozzles!"

Is it possible?  As soon as I had a chance I slapped those bad-boy Brassies on there with the Auvio tips:

OH MY GOD.
What a phenominal Change.  They are in a word PERFECT. Bass is tight, not overbearing, Mids have movd forward and the Treble is still Perfect. Very articulate. Sound stage is not huge but focused and wide enough. Seriously, These could actually go toe to toe with Senn IE8s. No exaggeration.

What I have learned about the ED9: At first You may enjoy the Party that goes on with the Gold Nozzles, but give them time to settle in and that Party is going to get old.  FAST. They really should give you a warning that says "Use Brass Nozzles after 100 Hours Use".  I can't wait to hear these at 300 Hours.

The KZ ED9 is truly a Giant Killer.

Best $10 bucks I ever spent.....Jeez.

At first I was using JVC Fx-101x. Bought it in the UK. Then I came back and bought xiaomi piston 2, the piston was much much better than the JVC. JVC is too bassy and the high is bad, it is a little muddy.

Then I lost the piston, used back JVC for 1 week and can't stand the sound.
So I bought a budget IEM from aliexpress after seeing the reviews from headfi, it's a $10 usd iem KZ ED9.
I was satisfied with it but my curiosity was piqued.

So I got a UD120 to try a DAC, decided there wasn't much difference that I could hear because I was mostly using youtube/spotify (even with 320kbps). maybe it was because of the earphone, or because I didnt use an amp or file format.

Anyway, I decided to sell off the dac to get a better earphone to explore. My budget is around RM 150, maximum RM200.

Saw something like the ostry,ATH IM50, havi b3 pro 1 ( but need an amp to shine, so probably not going to get this ) . Then came across the new soundmagic e80 which had quite good reviews.

Would like some recommendation from sifu here.

Hi buddy, I've posted on the Ostry KC06 and Havi B3 Pro 1 recently. Here are my thoughts.

"Consider the Ostry KC06. The bass has just enough punch, and the mids (vocals) are clear and forward. Overall the sound signature is balanced so it suits every genre."
"Consider the Havi B3 Pro 1. Neutral, natural, excellent soundstage, smoooooth as silk, perfect for jazz. The only drawback is the bass might lack punch. "

The ATH-IM50 I haven't heard, but read that someone described it as having a subwoofer in your ears, or a less refined IM70.

So, coming from the Pistons 2 which has a warm and smooth sound sig, the best bet would be the KC06, or if you want just a bit more bass punch, the KC06A. The Havi B3 is too relaxed and the bass might not be enough for you. And this is just a comment bcos I personally haven't heard the IM50, but it might be too bassy for you.

Best of course, is to audition them and pick your favorite. I believe liquidgal can assist.
