Just wondering is there any IEM that have similar sound signature like the ATH CKR10? (Like the forwardness and vocal sound fuller signature.) Would prefer an IEM with superb clarity, good bass response, wide soundstage, instrument separation and have good imaging. As mine broke within a few week. So currently sending it back to Japan to get a refund as they don't have any replacement unit. Luckily the return shipping is cover by them (Feel Glad).
I will be using my IEM with my HTC One M8 with Fiio E18, and UD120 with laptop.
Using mostly for music, genre such as Jpop, OST,EDM and Country song.
Mostly all FLAC.
Would prefer an IEM that have good isolation.
Mic or control button are welcome too, i can live without it too.
Currently I'm looking at JVC FX850, RHA T10, Tpeo H300.
My budget is Around RM700-900.
Thanks in advance smile.gif

Check out the Fidue A83, it is one heck of an IEM, go read the reviews on head-fi and u will understand what i mean.

I own them and they are by far the best pair I have ever owned. The JVC FX850 are really nice as well, I like how the wooden housing makes drums sound like ermmm well, drums. But that being said, I find it too bass heavy for my liking. The RHA T10i i have not tested, but from what I have read so far, its all about the Bass, no treble. Not so sure about the Tpeos H300 tho, I used to own the Tpeos altones 200 and they sound great with a nice articulate bass and very bright vocals. Female vocals sound amazing on these, but sad to say it gets a little fatiguing and it is pretty sibilant.

So without a doubt, I can wholeheartedly recommend the Fidue A83. If not then u can try the Sony A3 or the older H3,  its not bad, but just not my cup of tea.

Thanks for the recommendation, sadly its over my budget. I would prefer an iem with detachable cable though since i use my IEM a lot. smile.gif

Hmmm.. actually, when lendmeurears.com is on sale, it is approximately RM900+. I got mine for about RM910 when it was on sale on that site. But all depends on the exchange rate, since lendmeurears sells their goods in singapore dollars. But oh well, since its over your budget, then i guess cant be helped. Next best would be the FX850 then (which is really expensive in KL, but many times cheaper in Japan)
*
Yea I'm buying it from Japan. Local are selling more than 1k so ya.

Yeah I'm aware of that, but are they using the cable alike shure's or weststone's? Or having their own cable like the ATH IM series?

Theyre using the same cable, the mmcx cable. You can use the Shure cable on the A83, but u cant use the A83 on the Shure coz the stock cable comes with a notch on it which locks the cable in place.
*
How about the Fx850? I can use shure cable from fiio too? blink.gif

Currently considering JVC s400 found on ebay
http://www.ebay.com/itm/JVC-Victor-Stereo-...=item339be86566

For former user, how long does it serve?
Im abit worry about their cable connector lifelong hmm.gif
Been using 3 model of Superlux, all having the same connector issue vmad.gif

Any best bang around that price??
*
I have the S500 series instead. The connector do take some abuse. Mine is still fine. I bought it around 2013. Still working. smile.gif

Really??
Ive jz found some former user who has been with s400 for 6 years
Left in hot and cold, rain and storm on the other forum

Any advice before I'm placing my order on ebay?

This is my 1st experience..
*
Place order as usual, it's easy though. Get order with tracking number if possible with EMS. JVC S400/500 is on ear. Not over the ear though.

Morning happy.gif

I prefer earphone than headphone.

I enjoyed the soft sound of the background instruments such as guitar, chello, violin etc.

Not many earphones has this feature.

So far, I experienced this with those SONY earphones that came with together with the smartphone.

Other earphones, the soft sound is just not clear enough.
What should I look for when I read the information on the box of the earphones?

The Ghz thing?

Examples:
The guitar and violin score. Somehow it ripped my heart out. Sorrow.

2:50 - 3:38  Guitar

3:41 Violin

.
The chello/violin score.

1:48 -

1:59 - 2:07

2:12  onwards

4:06 - fade

*
hz thingy is just some marketing placebo, i assume. (Correct me if I'm wrong) It's better to try yourself, it seems that you like instrumental music. Maybe Zero Audio DX200 Tenore would suit you. But you can't audition it in Malaysia as no one brought it here. sweat.gif

I don't have credit card that's why. Jaben is just 15 steps from my college 😊 really no earbud that provides the same sound quality with XP2 but more durable? 😥
*
Like psychoactive said, Debit card would works. Precisely, debit card with Visa on it. Some bank need you to activate it manually (call them up) so that you can purchase it online (which is they are protecting you against fraud). Tenore have some QC issue, but not as severe as the Beyer's XP series. I reinforce mine with heat shrink, spring and super glue. So far it's being serving me well for 5 months +, occasionally abuse it by accident. You can drop me a PM if you are interested on it. smile.gif

What does harder to drive mean? That I will need a DAC?
Sorry kinda new to this audio area
*
Means you would need an amp to drive it more efficiently. Having a DAC/AMP combo might be a plus. But M50X would be just fine alone too, since is easier to drive.

ok, here's my situation now.
I can get the Audio Technica M50X for about rm580.
but Jaben offering BeyerDynamic Custom One Pro+ on sale for rm650 inclusive of 1 BeyerDynamic MXP 50iE (in ear earphones) as hari raya promotion deal.

i personally dont like in-ears, so most probably might sell it?
but which is still the better deal to go for? been thinking for a couple of days but still undecided. quite dilemma still
*
I have no idea mate, Since i never tested the Custom 1 pro before, so can't give any feedback. :S
