Then I think I'm picking up the MDR-1Rmk2. That Z7 is a USD800 part!
I heard the HP200 look like quite a value buy! And I'm guessing the HP150 is as good as HD558 and stuff?
How about V-Moda M100?

Your best bet would be looking at the garage sales in lowyat forums. But usually we just buy them online to ship over here smile.gif

Sennheiser Momentum looks interesting. Anyone bought it?

What about the price here in M'sia?

Personally you would choose which one?
*
+1 on Ask_Yip's comment. The Momentum is not portable especially when you're bringing it out with the case. V-Moda M100 has probably the best portability build, but it's more genre specific and not as versatile sounding as Momentum.
If portability is not an issue for you, then Momentum is nice... other choices for you that i haven't heard are Shure SRH1540, Focal Spirit, NAD VISO HP50, etc.

What do you mean by genre specific?

The Momentum, its audio quality much2 more better than the one im using now? (HD555)
*
Means suited for certain type of music. The Momentum is more balanced than M100 which has a v-shaped sound signature (bass boost, recessed mids, sparkly trebles).

Ok thanks. In ur opinion, V Moda or Momentum better overall?
*
I love V-Moda for it's portability, and it sounds really good as well. But if you listen to all types of music the Momentum would be a better choice.
Both have diff sound signature so maybe you could go to Jaben to try them out.

Like I stated in my previous, I don't listen to metal. And as stated previously the budget is for a set and not just the the DAP.
Does it make sense to get a Fiio X5 or X3 on headphones like the MS1 or the M50? That DAP is more expensive than the headphones.

I'd like to modify my question to make it easier- whats a decent balanced headphone which is a step up from the MS1 below RM700.
*
V-Moda XS, Beyer DT1350, Sennheiser HD 25 / Momentum

DAP, Colorfly C3, FiiO X1 or Sony A15 when it comes out

Its true that the headphone alone does not determine good sound quality but you are recommending at least a Fiio X3/iBasso DX50 just to pair with an Alessandro MS1? The headphone makes the most difference in the level of SQ, the DAP the least so I don't quite follow your line of thought here.

Thanks for the headphone recommendations.
*
At this point i think a better headphones and a satisfactory DAP would be best. Only if you go to a much higher end line headphones you can consider getting a much better DAP.

Wouldn't recommend CIEMs for jogging,
Take a look at Aurisonic Rockets, built like a tank and supposedly sounds great too. But only pre order at the moment.

hmm.gif Not a fan of Lazada though... Is there any other place I can get those? Preferably from reliable Lowyat sellers.... sweat.gif

I bought a pair of headphones there, although not a fan of Lazada, some of the stuffs are much cheaper than what you can find in Malaysia. And more importantly the one i got was genuine since they were listed as an authorized reseller.

[color=blue]Morning happy.gif

I prefer earphone than headphone.

I enjoyed the soft sound of the background instruments such as guitar, chello, violin etc.

Not many earphones has this feature.

So far, I experienced this with those SONY earphones that came with together with the smartphone.

Other earphones, the soft sound is just not clear enough.
What should I look for when I read the information on the box of the earphones?

The Ghz thing?

*
Box doesn't tell you anything. Go to shops to demo them yourselves is the only way.

hi guys, not sure if this is the correct section. I am looking for a wireless earphone/headphone so I will not disturb anyone when watching tv. I am hesitant to get a headphone as my wife and I will sometime watch movie together and do not want to disturb the kids sleeping. smile.gif or if headphone, then that means both of us will have receiver but only one transmitter. I am checking Sennheiser RS120 II, but that means I need to buy another set of the headphone receiver which will shoot my budget. smile.gif So if there is some cheaper alternative soltuion. smile.gif Budget wise should not exceed 500.
*
Not sure about the 120ii but 160 and above you only need the 1 receiver which can be linked up to 4 headphones if i'm not mistaken.

Any recommendation for in-ear buds or earphones?

Mainly using for purpose of listening to spotify on my iPhone 5s- no further amp

Currently using the apple earbuds which to me is already quite good as it's not muddy and good clarity

Tried the klipsh X11i but it only gives me a small step up (in my opinion) of quality is not worth that >1000 bucks price tag.

Just wondering any small in ear buds or ear phones that are below 600ish that surely is better than apple earbuds

Already own an audio technica es7 but seldom used as headphones not convenient for me to carry around.

- Your rig - mostly be using for my phone, may use to desktop as well
- What type of usage - music, gaming and maybe movies. Will use for exercise (jogging) too
- File format used in your source - I'm not sure myself
- Genre of music you listen to - a mix of all, but not much of a country music though
- Headphone/ earphone type - earphone
- Other requirements - will be using underneath a helmet, as I am riding to my workplace. also be use for navigation

I'm looking at either Jaybird Bluebuds X and Klipsch S4 Rugged. Used to own S4 Rugged, one of the best earphone I had. It was decommissioned too early due to an accident. I'm open to any suggestions though biggrin.gif
