Hi guys, I bought a pair of Bayerdynamic XP3's only to realize that my ears cannot tolerate IEM's (instant tinnitus after using just ONCE at slightly above medium volume). (I've never used IEMs before apart from apple ear pods)
How much do you think I can sell it off (no hygiene issues since the rubber bits can be replaced right?) for?
Also, I'm planning to get either a m30x or m40x to replace them, which one should I choose since the price diff is about RM60 ish? I listen mainly to acoustic/vocal heavy/instrumentals and I never go near EDM or heavy metal etc.
BTW I don't usually listen at loud volumes. I have been using headphones for a few years without any issues, only when I first started using IEMs the problem started

Budget : RM900 and below - Your rig -iPhone+mac and PC - What type of usage: Music- I'm not a basshead and easily pleased in that dept. Clarity is very important for me as I listen to alot of instrumentals and music with strong vocals and acoustics - File format used in your source - Spotify premium - Genre of music you listen to - Instrumentals and acoustic music + piano music. Wide range of genres - Headphone/ earphone type - VERY important that it is portable and foldable. Going to use it for long library sessions and long travels (plane rides etc.). Need to be comfortable too.
I currently own a M40x, but they're way too huge to walk around with (I tried, don't have the confidence to pull it off). I have a chance to get a free Beats Solo 2 Wireless, but it's in my student house in the UK now and I plan to sell it as soon as I get it because I heard they're pretty Bass heavy and uncomfortable.
I've tried on the Bose soundlink 2 on ears before and thought they sounded amazing for the size. I might be able to buy a used Bose around ear wireless 2 when I get back to uni, but I'm not sure I'm willing to pay the extra premium for wireless. Wireless is nice, but I'd be able to live with something portable with decent lightweight cables if they save me money.

So I'm currently debating between some models:
Philips M1MKii, Plantronics backbeat pro , Sennheiser momentum 2 (not sure if around or on ears),v-moda XS or the sony MDR-100AAP.
Any advice? Would really appreciate it if I could pick one up ASAP because the office is killing me with the silence.
Generally I would prefer on-ears because of how I value portability, but am not sure if the on-ear options I'm considering are worth the price.
