QUOTE(Guardian @ Oct 9 2014, 12:29 AM) Source: Galaxy S4, Asus N56 laptop Music type: Instrumental, jazz, vocal File type: Mostly FLAC. Type: IEM, good isolation is an extra bonus as I frequently travel by small aircraft which has loud engine noise Budget : 700 Tried FAD Heaven II and I like it, any other suggestions? Read of good comments about TDK BA 200 and GR07, any recommendations regarding these 3 models or perhaps other suitable one? Thanks Have you tried the Yamaha EPH-100? Warm signature and I love it...it sounds very lively~! Pretty good all rounder earphones (I listen to a wide range of music... ballads, pop, jazz, instrumentals, piano, guitar, flamenco, rock) for my ears, pretty much suits most genres. Highly rated for its price and by the famous headfi reviewer! http://theheadphonelist.com/headphone_review/yamaha-eph-100/Seems to be available at Sungei Wang for auditioning: https://www.facebook.com/e1personalaudio/ph...6631231/?type=1This post has been edited by -kytz-: Oct 10 2014, 04:32 AM

QUOTE(Ask_Yip @ Oct 30 2015, 08:58 AM) Sennheiser CX-200 or CX-300ii, buy from local 2 years warranty, buy from amazon cheaper but warranty have to send back US. if headphone can try PX-100ii, but is semi open, sound isolation not good and sound leak CX300 is crap. Better look at other options like Soundmagic or the new Ostry IEM KC06 This post has been edited by -kytz-: Oct 31 2015, 03:31 PM

QUOTE(ChrisWeiYuan @ Jan 14 2016, 10:52 PM) Hi all. Looking for a pair of in ear earphones. It's used for normal pop music. Price range around 200 plus minus. Previously used sennheiser cx300 mark ii. Thanks The CX300 is a terrible IEM lol... Try something like a Soundmagic IEM (I can't remember the model name). Balanced and slightly warm.

QUOTE(ezekiel_77 @ Jan 21 2016, 03:08 PM) I'm speaking very generally bcos I've only heard the KC06A once, and read abit about the EPH100 lol. The Yamaha is bassy, warm, smooth with good mids and a very relaxed signature. Treble peaks are smoothed out. Great for extended listening but songs won't pop or excite too much. It's one of the best "warm and smooth" sound IEMs at its price. Great for jazz and acoustic and slowtempo music. KC06A is tuned for modern music. A V-shaped sound signature, bass and treble are enhanced for a little "wow" factor. Mids are level but not too recessed compared to other V-shaped earphones. Great for modern music like hip-hop, EDM, pop and rock. Treble peaks might be fatiguing for sensitive ears. The description seems to describe the EPH100 correctly. It was highly recommended by HeadFi, one of the most famous reviewers. Looking for something similar and more rugged as I'll be using it outdoors... I don't like V shaped sound signature actually. Find them lacking mid range and the trebles are usually overpronounced Never heard of the IM70 actually. Any other recommendations? How about FAD Heaven II? QUOTE(ezekiel_77 @ Jan 21 2016, 03:42 PM) I think you read Joker's reviews like me haha. IM70 is from Audio Technica, you can test them out at any Jaben outlet. It's a slightly more entertaining EPH100 if I read correctly. Another brand you can look for is RHA. They are like warm+smooth specialists. At your price range is probably the RHA MA750. From there their new flagship is the T20, which costs about RM1200 unfortunately. What about the FAD Heaven II ah? Actually the EPH100 is fragile (the cables not too resistant to bending and whatnot) and using it outdoors is kind of risky lol.
