While you could technically do that, it wouldn't really solve the problem as the infection happened in the first place because there's a leak somewhere to the root canal, and now the whole root is acting as a bacteria reservoir. Even if you managed to kill off enough bacteria to relieve the symptoms, the leak is still there and enough bacteria may just lie dormant until your immune system is weak enough for them to multiply again if the dentist doesn't clean the canal properly ie root canal treatment 😊
