Hi, is it normal to feel this pain on my teeth each time when bitting my food? i just done the filing for a week now

when drink cold water also will feel the sensitivity

nope, there was no issue before the filing

days ago extracted my molar tooth, dentist said it had cracked and split, can't do anything so i simply agreed to the dentist preferred recommendation to extract.

later came home and did some research, learn that split tooth can actually be saved as long as the crack does not extend deep down below the gum line.
this makes me wonder if the dentist makes no good effort of saving my tooth and simply wants me to get a replacement tooth.

the reason for such thought is because no X-ray being performed to determine and confirm the length of the crack during the checkup.
furthermore, days prior to the extraction, there is no gum infection and the pain is not severe unless bite hard....no chewing activity almost no pain.

is my dentist expertise and integrity questionable or is it my understanding about how to diagnose non-restorable crack tooth flawed?

any thoughts?

yup, got filling. Months ago visit other dentist, diagnosed tiny cavity.
