Saw somewhere that when you brush your teeth, you're not supposed to rinse your mouth but just spit the toothpaste residue only. However, I've been rinsing my mouth since childhood. Which is the correct practice?

QUOTE(murv90 @ Feb 19 2022, 10:02 AM) This came up due to the effects of fluoridated toothpastes which will require more time in contact with tooth surface for it to fully work rather than the 2 minutes or so that we brush and completely rinse off the tooth paste. Therefore to answer your question, the correct way is to only spit and not rinse, although me personally I prefer a single really light rinse. I see. Thanks.
