I got my tooth extracted yesterday due to orthodontic.
My gum and upper part of the mount gets really sore right after the dentist injected anethesia to the area.
After extracted, my tooth beside the extracted tooth is painful and lossen a lil bit. Is it normal?

QUOTE(AskTheDent @ Apr 2 2015, 11:39 PM) Cage?? What do you mean by cage? Gum problem is hard to treat, but it is very possible, it takes time, thats all. All you need is regular cleaning Sorry for replying so late, been neglecting this thread. So how you feel now? the neighboring teeth might get loose a little bit, because the tooth beside has been extracted, so the support is lost. But once the bone grow back into the socket, your teeth will be ok I got all 3 teeth extracted done and installed bracers 4 days ago. Yeah, the teeth pain went away over time. But now what really hurts me is the sharp edge that holds wire into place at my molar teeth. It constantly pokes me cheeck

Is it safe to use oradex antibacterial mouthwash? I heard chlorhexidine has bad side effect like staining the tooth and damage in tastes bud in long period of time. Or should I just use alchol based listerine?
But I really need to prevent gum disease, i heard oradex is the most effective way to kill them.

Hi, after a week with bracers on. I notice there is a few white patch/spots on my upper front teeth. Most noticably on my canine teeth. I'm not sure if they are already there before bracer treatment, but after bracers these white patches are quite noticable.
I keep my oral hygiene normally.
I am not sure if my mouthwash causes the stain? Because behind the bottle it says the "active antibacterial subtance will cause stain on teeth and touge and may disable taste" I'm using oradex mouthwash.
Is this a serious problem or minor?

QUOTE(SoZa @ Apr 8 2015, 03:19 PM) AskTheDentDoc, can you tell me everything i need to know to fix my underbite? If your degree of underbite is minor, it can be fixed with orthodontic treatment without surgery.

Hi, 2 week with bracers on. Everything is good especially the ulcer and my cheeks already get used to it. My lower front tooth is pain all of a sudden after 2 weeks mark which I assume it is normal and will go away soon.
But what worries me the most is my upper tooth beside extraction area (Behind molar tooth) is in pain whenever I put pressure on. And I notice the white (bones? Tooth root?) is very visible on the gum on the particular tooth. I can feel the gum tissue is very thin. Is it normal?

QUOTE(barium @ Apr 13 2015, 07:32 PM) i thk i already have dry socket now....its been 5 days since my surgery, and i have severe pain from the socket area to my ears and head.....next appointment is on this friday...so suffering right now... It's okay, gargle with salt warm water to kill bacteria and helps numb the pain. Dry socket treatment is pretty quick and simple, after they cleaned the socket, they put healing dresser to promotes better healing of the tissue. Right after the treatment, you should feel no pain at all.

How often should I use mouthwash?
It is safe to use it every night before brushing teeth and sleep? I'm using the antibacterial one.
I heard it will weaken my teeth enamel? I red somewhere in the net though.
Is it advisable to rinse with water after using mouthwash? Because I brush my teeth 10 mins after I rinse with it.
Oh, and I have one tiny (very tiny) hole or black spot (not sure) on one of my lower tooth. It's on the biting flat area (tooth beside canine). I assume that is cavity?

Is it normal to have weird asymmetrical teeth during bracers treatment? From the front, my right canine teeth is pulled way lower than the right ones (not sure if it's versa) But it looks so asymmetrical. In pictures (Selfies) my teeth definitely doesn't look great at all, does not fit on with my face.
