QUOTE(ldragon @ Dec 27 2018, 10:42 PM) This is a Government Dental Specialist Clinic. They have root canal treatment, crown, tooth implants etc. FYI, crown is RM200 +, tooth implant if not mistaken RM3k - 4k. If require specialist treatment, get a referral letter from your local government dental clinic. Nice ![]() ![]() |

QUOTE(kaixas @ Jan 2 2021, 08:34 PM) Hi all, I'm planning to do tooth bridges both on upper and lower molars. The dentist said there will be a few teeth (I do have many gaps) and for lower molars, the cost is around 5.4k? Is that considered as expensive? Yes.. you can go for initial checkup (with paying small amount) and get the right cost And also, the consultation is only verbal and I'm worried if there will be more charges after that so should I ask for quotation or something? some place may get free if you really going to comeback for the repair This post has been edited by WaNaWe900: Jan 2 2021, 10:58 PM |

QUOTE(kaixas @ Jan 3 2021, 12:23 AM) Yup, got the consultation for the pricing when I went there for a tooth extraction and filling. Tooth cap is Crowing I think, usually put on tooth that had done root canal. Prices 500~1k subject to size each... I need 1 too after finished with my braces But I would like to know whether that price is reasonable? Anyone can share their experience? If can get free service for the next apt, that sounds good Oh and she mentioned my teeth is too weak? soft? and she suggested to wear a tooth cap but never heard of that before. Anyone knows what is that? |

QUOTE(kaiel @ Jan 5 2021, 10:12 PM) Hi, I have a question to ask . My tooth (premolar) has a big hole for years (no pain tho) and i decided to do filling in Gov hospital 2 months ago (nov). After filling everything is fine but recently i start getting pain from this tooth (extremely pain). What can i do now? It's common that dentist will clean/re-bore the hole a bit before doing filling so that the it can stick properly.. You need to go back to the dentist and told them about the pain that you're having.QUOTE(videogames_sports @ Jan 5 2021, 11:27 PM) So does different brands of toothpaste make a difference, or all are the same and equally good? Asking for the best toothpaste (if any) Indeed not really equally same... know to me last 3 years only... now using Sensodyne |

QUOTE(Batusai @ Feb 14 2023, 02:35 PM) If its a small chip, it can be repaired by just a small composite filling. rarely see people with gold tooth this day, remember my late nanny used to have it Unless your bite is heavy on that tooth which generally front teeth should not be, you can consider a veneer. A crown would mean cutting your tooth all around and significantly reducing your tooth structure just to bond the crown. Cost of the gold crown relies alot on the price of gold. You're expecting perhaps around 5k for it. |

QUOTE(searhino @ Oct 31 2023, 05:12 PM) nothing unusually hard just my usual snack, like nuts and beans. you can ask the doctor for other option such as x-ray at own cost to reconfirm either removal indeed the final call...to add, any pain or discomfort i experienced post filling is much lesser compared to before filling is done. Hence i was actually very surprise that the tooth cannot be saved. This post has been edited by WaNaWe900: Oct 31 2023, 05:38 PM |

QUOTE(searhino @ Oct 31 2023, 11:05 PM) it didn't cross my mind at that time, as an ignorant layman being spooked by what the dentist said... I've been in same conditions before when removing 2nd Molar (1st tooth gone in the line only after going home and doing some reading and research i learn more about cracked tooth. But it was too late now. Anyway, i do like more thoughts on my case because i still need a replacement tooth and i do not want to visit the same dentist anymore if the person is incompetent. is it consider a form of negligence when my dentist stop at surface inspection to conclude my dental condition? any experience dentist here? can an experience dentist know for sure a crack/split tooth can't be saved just by surface inspection? from there I'd knew what's Root-Canal, Crowning, Bridging and several more term that maybe have 50/50 chances for me to keep my tooth I did spend ~5k to do root-canal on my 1st Bicuspid few years later did save it but need to be xtra careful not to crunch any hard things since not yet crowning so in my layman understanding even spend >5k it's not guaranteed the tooth will perform as before and be there till death do me part ![]() |

QUOTE(Bearberry @ Nov 1 2023, 01:15 PM) Hello! Has anyone tried ICON teeth whitening/ICON resin filtration? my dentist told it last longer than usual My dentist told me that the effect is going to last forever and it does not require any major aftercare. I read online and it seems like it's just a temporary treatment (2-5 years)? can get DiY too |
