My wife has a teeth that damage quite seriously. She already hv denture, want to ask can add 1 extra teeth to an existing denture? Or need to remake a new one. I also not sure should go for denture or root canal because I heard root canal somehow is bad for health and she already have a denture with about 9 teeth sleep.gif

Can Plz recommend a clinic that is more affordable?
And roughly how much?

How about root canal? Any place that is cheaper? Not sure a denture or root canal is cheaper coz usually it follow by crowning which is expensive

Similar to other cases discussed earlier, my back tooth was aching and dentist suggested root canal treatment, followed by crowning. I was a bit sceptical on this, because based on the condition of my tooth filing which is still good, no swollen gum or pus, fever, except for pain. I wonder on what ground the dentist make such judgement and recommendations.

While looking for second opinion, I am taking the prescribed antibiotics, which doesn't seem to help much. ALthough not constantly pain, but I still can't chew using the affected tooth

Anyone could shed some light?

I'm 22 adult. If I only have 20 teeth in total, is that consider normal? Because normally an adult has 32 teeth

Hi all,

I wanted to remove 2 wisdom tooth, already done X-ray at dental clinic.
It's not pain at all and not causing any trouble, however it was in a not proper position which effect the molar beside.

I've been thinking of SMILE AVENUE DENTAL (Publika) or SMILE ART DENTAL (both also smile, but the price can't make me laugh at all!)

The price they gave me starting from RM 500-RM1000 per teeth...

If you have any good dental, please intro!!

Thank you so much

If it is not causing you any trouble, leave it alone.

There are some important nerves, such as your 8th (hearing) and 9th (facial)
nerve not too far away from that area.

The reason why I have never really dared to take out my right wisdom,
even though it was impacting into the second molar in front of it, is
because I have tinnitus (ringing in the ears).

However, if you still wish to do so, try Dr Loh Wan Hung.

He used to be opposite the Federal Cinema in Jln Raja Laut, but has
since moved to this place, opposite Pantai Medical Center.

http://www.plazapantai.com/v1/tenants-dire...-dental-surgery

He did a root canal for me for the second molar 20 years ago, which the
wisdom had impacted into and caused it to corrode. He was supposed to
have taken out the wisdom too right after that, but I didn't go back.

He charged $200 for the root canal, and same for the wisdom.

The last I heard, he now charges $750 for wisdom surgery.

I made a mistake last year, when I listened to this dentist at
Firdaus Dental outside my house to put a crown on that second molar,
when all I wanted was for some extra filling to fill the gap between
it and the wisdom, so that food would not fall in there so easily.

It cost me $800 plus $50 for the x-ray. After putting in the crown,
the gap there has become even deeper, like a ravine, and trapped
even more food there.

I usually take my lunch these days in Jln SS 3/31, PJ, and there's
a dental clinic here. I have talked to Dr Sanjay there, and he seems
quite professional. He said he has done hundreds of wisdom surgeries
without problems.

I don't know how much he charges though.

Pristine Dental at Jln SS3/39 is also quite professional. The dentist there,
I think Dr Thiruchelvam, immediately understood my problem of food
falling in the gap and wanted to just fill it, but I had to make an appointment.
I made a mistake and went to Firdaus Dental outside my house, whose
dentist happened to be free, eating at the coffee shop downstairs.

It won't be cheap though, since it is an upper class practice. They have
other branches.

If pain killer wont stop ur pain, the infection has gone into the pulp in ur tooth. Antibiotic wont help at all. RCT will relieve ur pain.

luckily the pain gone now, maybe i should make booking at GH for rm10 RCT

Hi guys!
Just had my 2 right (upper & lower) wisdom teeth removed yesterday.
I removed simply because the lower one is impacted and positioned horizontally and I dont want it to cause problem in the future and because I'm getting my braces soon!

That was my first time ever having my teeth removed by a dentist. Good experience coz I dont feel any pain or any swelling after that biggrin.gif

I encountered terrible tooth nerve pain early this year.. and I did the root canal treatment . The problem solved.

After almost 10 months, my another tooth having the same problem. Yes. Both teeth had permanent filling before.
But it was quite sometime ago.

How to overcome this problem.? I brush occasionally (3 times a day) and use Listerine.

Hi doc, I am feeling very painful on one of my central incisor, I would like to know what is the possible treatment that i can expect from my dentist during my visit next week?

There's no cavity on the tooth.
I have search through the internet and some said root canal will do the work but i would like some professional help.
Plus the dentist that i will be visiting is a very expensive one so what is the best solution would you recommend me to go for?
*
The cavity might be at the side and is not visible, if the teeth is super painful, then most probably the infection has gone down to bone and root canal is the treatment

Fluoride is not good for children age 8 and below. This is because ingestion of fluoride into our stomach will cause fluorosis. The teeth will have distinct white spot. Btw, our water supply does have a small amount of fluoride added

my wisdom teeth cracked/chipped about half just now and i can feel the sharp edge with my finger. no pain for now(hopefully not until i see dentist) but im not familiar with dentist around pj area

heard fixing the wistom tooth is very exp so i want to know which clinic has a good service and with reasonable price?
*
Well, you can get it filled or extract. Wisdom teeth is expensive because that teeth is very hard to fill/extract due to its position ( situated at most behind of the oral cavity )

It depends on your area and what type of clinic you walking in... There are those clinic who cater to high end patient ( of course with high end price ), and there are those clinic which are more wallet - friendly. And also depending on the condition of your teeth, if it is a little bit more difficult, then it is fair for the dentist to charge extra. The range can cost from Rm500 - Rm1.5k

If you having disturbed sleep, then the treatment is pretty straight forward. Root canal or extraction.

The crown after root canal is to strengthen the treated teeth. It is said that treated teeth are much weaker, BUT alot of people they sceptical of this crowning. I saw some fracture teeth after the root canal. But some their teeth survive. In short, think of crown as an insurans thumbup.gif

Medicine for toothache is just a temporary measure. You have to deal with the source of the pain - Bacteria inside the teeth itself. Either you extract ( not recommended ) or do a RCT

Sometimes, UNDERNEATH the filling there may have some remnant of bacteria due to fracture of filling. And this is the reason you will experience this bad pain.
Brushing 10x per day will not make you invincible to toothache, it just lower down the probability

Surprisingly after 4 days using the pain killer, the extreme pain is gradually gone, now keep using sansodine just for in case
