Test drove the 1.6 cvt car over a short route, noticed the following :
- good handling
- smooth acceleration although i notice the engine tend to hold on lower gear when slowing down
- nice interior despite some obvious plastic surface
- aircond knob plastic very disappointing, im sure they can get better one.. Come lah proton
- engine sound a bit rough..

Gonna do another test drive.. On longer stretch.. Before i make the jump

Test drive again today for 1.6 CVT. Surprisingly the cvt sound was not significant like last time. Quite impressed with it. The car already clocked 500 km though.

Does that mean the CVT sound will tone down after sometime?

En. Mat, any info on this.

Am really gonna grill my wife to buy Iriz. smile.gif

Proton can actually follow Perodua's style through proper planning, so there will be enough time for the factory to mass-produce Iriz and supplies the cars to showroom and eventually to customers who paid deposit.

Now, with unknown waiting time to receive the car, i am sure Proton actually turned off many potential buyers.

Oh ya, with the latest news regarding to the CVT, this is like Proton is trying hard to commit seppuku on Iriz.  rolleyes.gif

Couldn't agree more. My wild guess is that they had speed up the launch just to counter axia despite production line not ready for it..

Their plant production capacity has been quite low recently... Why not able to deliver asap? Hehehe

Just my 2 cent..
