Just read the reviews from three auto blog. But all the reports give a downside about cvt.

I'm planning to buy 1.6cvt as my 2nd car. but never have experience with cvt driving. I'm afraid that 1.6cvt is below my expectation. Now I'm driving waja CPS auto. hope Iriz is more refine than my waja.

I heard Exora Bold is more pickup than preve. We can feel the power delivery from standstill. I'm not sure whether proton used the different setup for Exora Bold. Some said preve setup is more to fuel efficiency.

I don't have opportunity to test Iriz CVT since the showroom only has manual version.

Finally, I have opportunity to test drive 1.6cvt. Even it was a short distance, but I can understand what the people say about the characteristic of CVT.

Yes..it is a little jerky in very slow speed and also got sound when I start press the pedal. But after that, it move smoothly without lag. maybe the pickup is not come instantly, but it is enough to ride in traffic jam.

What can I conclude, it is easy to drive. light steering at low speed. I'm not sure if NVH is good since I don't get to test at cruise speed.

At the end..i booked 1.6 cvt premium.

BTW, can I apply loan now but get 2015 stock? since I'm not in hurry to get the car. I'm more worry about interest rate. The SA said maybank offer below 3%.

Sometimes the built quality for the old car is better than now. maybe due their material, upholstery and thick plastic in the car.

But the old car can't match in terms of technology, design and safety features.


BTW, I hope proton can do something for better CVT refinement. maybe ECU remap? Drive CVT should be easy like normal auto. No need "the rhythm" to get pickup or torque. Last time I tested drive 1.6CVT, SA told me, RPM come first before we get pickup to accelerate. If proton can tweak a little bit, then it will be okay.

my loan had approved. only get 2.99%. the bank said cannot give less since it is a small margin

now still thinking to get 2014 stock or 2015. i'm afraid if get on jan 2015, the car is from 2014 production. not worth to wait if like that.

afaik, we only can get 2015 car around mac or april. or we can get early than that?

yes..i applied the loan first..submitted yesterday..then bank called me after office hour. after a short interview..then she said my loan approved. i only apply from maybank since the SA said maybank can get below 3%.

the SA..he just estimated the time frame for the next year production. since the buyers like to get 2015. not sure. will ask him again whether i can get the car before end of this nov/early dec. otherwise, will go for 2015.

how long the waiting time before get your iriz? My SA told me that he can't promise me to deliver the car on early dec. now feeling excited to get the car. ...even though it is my wife car.

i still use my waja cps..but it like to know the iriz will arrive by show ABS sign...haish..after 5 years, ABS will kong ?

anyone have this problem.. radio suddenly on with high volume once u start the engine? . I always mute the volume and off the HU before shut down the engine.

I have seen a new BMW 5 series also got wrinkle at the leather seat.
