I don't know man, this is the first time Apple is making its true post steve jobs design. Previous iphone 5 was still taking in a lot of similar design from the final steve jobs era iphone: The iPhone 4.

I'm even considering to wait a month after release in the US so that any problems that come will be brought out in the open by the guinea pigs that buy the iphone first. Remember antennagate? The iphone 5 battery/wifi problems?

I'd probably rather see myself calmly walking into the machines shop in december or january when stock becomes stable.

Or then again I might change my mind.Do you think the telcos or the apple resellers will be selling them at the same time or telcos got special permission to sell the phones first?

I currently use the iPhone 4, so pretty excited about a real upgrade! My phone don't even have siri.

really crazy singapore launch, I read reports of people accusing of overtaking queues, staff keeping units for themselves and only 30 units released to be sold today despite hundreds of people coming to queue. One poor ******* even flew from indonesia and queue from 9PM the previous night for nothing.

Apparently the cost of patience of one month is equal to anywhere between RM400 to RM2000.

IScalper here get their source from the original scalpers queuing in New York. This is how you get your RM5600 price, to pay them all in the chain.

so it supports roaming but only with singapore carrier sim cards? I'm just concerned that stocks that were meant for malaysia ended up being rerouted to china as well. Imagine queuing up for iphone here , but because we have scalpers that are paid to queue 2 days in advance sleeping on the floor like that we malaysians get less of the phones.

I can take leave for a day for the launch but I'm not gonna waste time to queue 2 DAYS just for this. We have jobs and I don't like buying online for something like this.

My decision is already made up from the start, since I run, the 4.7 will be easier to carry and for designers to come up with armband.

Image stabilization is only for photos and not videos. We already have digital image stabilizer for 4.7.

I'm not sure to admire or laugh at those who bought at hyper inflated scalper prices...... It will be worth 10cents on the dollar in a few weeks

I expect the kind of people who buy the phones, are the kind that really do intend and easily capable to burn the money. The kind that earns 20-30k per month, someone who considers a trip overseas like regular weekend getaway kind of thing, pays 20-30k in road tax and pays saman 5-6k monthly to enjoy their ferraris and porches full speed as they speed down to singapore every few days to party with the billionaires there.

Question : Suppose if we were to pre-order the phone instead at malaysia's apple store online http://www.apple.com/my/iphone-6/ where and how would we do our warranty claim?

Singapore's Apple Store?

Why would you even think of Singapore when you purchased it in Malaysia online store?
Basically any authorised Apple center in Malaysia can handle for you eg in KL - QCD at Times Square, VR Tech, Machines, MacCity ( the last 2 only specific outlets offer services while the rest are collection points - just google Apple Service Center inbMalaysia n you will see full listing

Ah! First useful and informative reply! If there is a rating system in this forum, you'd get a +1 from me, sir.

Of course I searched in the past pages but there isn't a concrete answer.

I'd first thought that since there isn't any official apple store, since we only have resellers here means no direct support from Apple, and only if you buy from the resellers would they support your phone for any problems.

So if you buy any iphone from overseas, mac city, epicentre etc. would still repair your phone then, according to this reply.

Open box and found this dented on iPhone 6 .... cry.gif

Now this is WHY I don't like to deal online for stuff like this. Like it or not you're stuck with this unit and can't change it right away, unlike the situation if you're at a store. You can just simply refuse to leave until you get a replacement.

Hah they surely will replace since it's clearly shown that its defective right out of the box! My maxis iphone back then got warranty 1 to 1 change terus for faulty button. But they are at liberty to replace with refurbished unit (just as good as new) , according to terms and agreement.

Yes, all Apple Resellers requires you to pay first before opening the boxes. Especially if its the Iphone.
Thats is fair enough. If they would allow a refund, take a picture of the item and go to consumer's tribunal to complain.
*
Of course you have to pay first, that is why they are obliged to replace it with a replacement after all. Because you already gave them money. If they don't offer a replacement then customer will be pissed for being scammed for money with defective product. I don't see an issue with this. This goes the same with any other electronic goods.

"U no pay, how we can support u?"

Tried one handed typing on my friend's samsung galaxy 5 inch plus phone. The flesh at the bottom of my thumb keep hitting the bottom right of the keyboard as I reach for the letter Q on the keyboard.

Well, that confirms my decision on what model to get.

The front page of lowyat.net basically now confidently repeats their estimation price of RM 2749 for 64GB iPhone 6. See the rest for yourself.

Just pressure w hands! This is even worse than ip5.
Anyway not advisable to put in pockets ( especially front jeans) while sitting down or driving. I always take my phone out in such situation even inside my deep side pockets

QUOTE(janson_kaniaz @ Sep 24 2014, 08:20 AM)
for those who said this problem has happened since ip5, i think it's probably worse for ip6/6+ since the phone is getting thinner and the surface is getting wider, therefore, it's so much easier to bend it.

this is a problem that we will hear more in the near future...

shakehead.gif My iphone 4 lasted me 4 years and it is still straight. The iphone 6 can't last 48 hours in the hands of some without being straight. I can't believe I'm actually commenting if an iphone can be bent over normal use. doh.gif

Thank god I decided to wait for any issues reported. Looks like there are. So a metal bumper case then! But then I can't molest my fingers over the smooth edge of the phone sweat.gif
