Hey need some info,

My friend got the iPhone 6+ for me in Singapore. Arriving today. I need to get it to Malaysia, he is only coming in October. Can he send it via DHL or fed ex? Will I incur taxes? Should I declare the item? All
Help appreciated

There is no tax/duty on mobile phone import. If holdup at custom you need apply Sirim permit at nearest Sirim center ( rm100 n can cover up to 3 units). Pass this Sirim permit to your courier company. You need to bring along your IC, courier notice, printout to show phone purchase n any specs sheet of phone ( from web will be fine). Or for DHL can do everything for you at additional cost of RM150-160 as service charges
You can get the Sirim permit within an hour or two.

Good info, BTW, can SIRIM permit apply online instead of going to the nearest branch?
*
Yes you can but I had no experience on this. For past 3 times I did it at Sirim Center ( JB). Many Android phone users had done this online

Worried that one day it will crack/split into two when sitting with a tight jeans. :D

I had yet to hear of such issues happening in those large size ( above 5 inches) phones
Anyway you can always take it out when sitting or driving if you feel is uncomfortable. This ip6+ size will nicely fit into your shirt pockets too

You mean Machines will not change for you if the unit build is defective? Machines is one of biggest Apple retailer here! I doubt they will be so poor in customer service.

Anyone has experience shipping an iPhone from Australia to Malaysia? Probably  by insured Australia Post. Would i face problems or tax from our Kastam?

Thanks.

No tax/duty on such import. Most will be holdup by custom n you need pay rm100 for Sirim permit. Read my earlier post today on how to go about clearing it out

Wow! It's quite easy to bend the iPhone 6+

*
Just pressure w hands! This is even worse than ip5.
Anyway not advisable to put in pockets ( especially front jeans) while sitting down or driving. I always take my phone out in such situation even inside my deep side pockets

There is one in SgWang first or second floor at left hand side corner amongst all those phone sellers. Saw them mid last year n probably still there. They had been there at least last 6 years..had patronised them few times.
