TP-LINK WDR3600 is within your budget

You might want to increase your budget a bit and get the WDR4300

I just checked, it mentioned compatible with unifi. Is it okay for Streamyx? Btw, thanks for the suggestion

Darn it. Just installed for 2 weeks for 4mbps. Now unifi is available at my house.

Please advise whether I should stick to my 4mbps or to upgrade to unifi?

Of course la upgrade but I am sure that Streamyx have contract. So maybe you have to wait before upgrade.

As long it is ADSL modem, any brand will do. Look at the spec, if it shows ADSL then ok lor

I had that problem before also. It all stopped after the TM technician said he wanted to launch an internal investigation as to why the miscap kept happening...he was also sick and tired of the problem; I saw the anger in his face. He also told me that because of port shortages, some people with internal connections were engaging in port theft so they could get new customers on a 4meg connect. The thieves probably were hoping that the old customers would not notice the decrease in speed.

that is some serious shit happening there. For those who unaware, kesian la kena tipu.

I plan to compile all my cases and lodge it to consumer forum and SKMM, plus your info is valuable for me to lodge this also

Miscap again. AGAIN.

This is like the 5th time.

Some background story:

My landline stopped working 2 weeks ago with the internet still working as usual. So I informed TM and asked to have it fixed.

Today, my phone line got fixed but guess what? I noticed my internet becoming significantly slower.

Check modem info page: Downstream 2048 kbps.

Call TM explaining this mistake only to have to do dozens of procedures like restarting modem, do speed test, do browsing test, do streaming test, download test, etc etc etc.

At the end, I'm told a technician will handle my issue.

Since it is such a common practice to miscap their users, is there a way anyone here knows of that can make this awfully painful process much easier? Like direct contact with technical team to solve the issue immediately? Rather than fumbling about doing unnecessary procedures when the issue is bloody obvious.
