Dear all streamyx users,

I got a question to ask. From the information below will my line is eligible to upgrade to 8mbps?


I was keep requesting to upgrade my streamyx to 8mbps but TM keep reply to me my area is unable to reach 8mbps.
WHY????????????????????????????????

at least you must have your dad a copy of IC to apply the streamyx.

I still remember last time during I'm year around 19, since that time is year 2004. My home phone line is under my grandpa's name but he was died for many years since i'm age of 9. During that time at 2004, I'm really need internet connection to online because I'm playing RO at that time. I cannot just use dial-up everyday because dial-up is lag and expensive. So I go down to TM and try to apply streamyx under my grandpa's name. However, the staff in TM there told me that I must have at least the phone owner IC in order to apply for streamyx.

So later, I went back to home and take a death certificate from my grandma then go down to TM again. The manager in TM just directly ask me to go inside his room and lol then he finally allow me to apply streamyx. It's kind of funny to bring a death certificate to apply for streamyx.

it's depends on what kind of modem you are using but I just recommend you to add an extra wifi repeater near your toilet. my recommendation is buy a cheap 300mbps tplink wifi repeater. For the modem, I recommend Asus DSL-N12E. Link both modem and repeater together so your repeater can extend the wifi signal to further and deeper area.

Besides, don't put your repeater too far away from your modem. At least must has 3 bars out of 5 bars. Your repeater is used to receive the wifi signal from your modem then extend the signal to further area.

The only way you can do is subscribe monthly VPN service.

I've been using streamyx for 12 years. Since I am a long term TM user, 2 years contract is not a big deal for me.

I got streamyx 4mbps and unifi 50mbps(free upgrade thank you promotion). The streamyx was located at Sandakan and the unifi was located at Kota Kinabalu. The streamyx was paid RM157.23 monthly without counting phone call usage. The Unifi was paid RM189.75 monthly without counting phone call usage.



You can see that how unfair that TM was charging streamyx users. I just need to pay RM32.52 more to get another 43mbps extra speed. Since my Unifi maximum speed is just 47mbps (not fully 50mbps).

no, you cannot change pppoe password anymore. You have to call 100 to change password. For now, all unifi new subscribers will only received the default password which provided by TM, unless you have to call 100 to request to change to your own password.

It's time to switch to unifi, please do not use streamyx because it price to value is expensive.

How many of you are still using streamyx? My hometown was using streamyx 4mbps for the past few years then finally installed Unifi 100mbps at yesterday.

I have make so many MCMC report before that since 2015. Almost every year got submit MCMC complain. Especially last few months, I'm keep reopen my complain when TM is closed down my MCMC report.
