Dynamic IP is given to 1Mbps and above
Private IP is given to 1Mbps and below
*
All IPv4 addresses given to TM home subscribers are Dynamic.
What you meant by Dynamic IP above is actually Public IP addresses.

But please clarify about 1 Mbps, are they getting Public or Private?

1mbps is now given private ip. (Grrrrrrr)
I recently upgraded from 1 to 2 mbps and now back on public ip

IPv4 addresses are no longer available to be allocated to anyone in Asia Pacific - which means TM can no longer request for any new block of IPv4 addresses from APNIC. The only solution now is to begin IPv6 migration and for many TM users, IPv6 is already deployed, but provided your router also supports IPv6.

TM called me saying my upgrade to 8MB was unavailable due to port full. Guy on TMPoint pulak cakap my area max speed only 4MB .. lol..
*
From what I understand some areas will never get 8Mbps due to signal quality/distance to exchange.

I guess TM only offers Streamyx to new subscribers if UniFi is NOT available at the area.

But now they themselves got no port to offer me, so by right they should compensate by offering fastet streamyx. Crazy!
*
probably the only way is to try get neighbors who also want UniFi but no port together make a request. If enough subscribers, they will install additional ports

meanwhile, while waiting, you may want to consider a cheap but high quota mobile data plan to use while waiting.

Make sure you subscribe to those with NO contract.
