my area already max at 8MBps, therefore I only get free upgrade to 8MBps... hopefully they lay fibre on my area so that I can get at least 10MBps UniFi.

Hi guys , want to share this ..

I am using 4mbps streamyx . Last friday , there is a poster promoting streamyx 8mbps ( Good news : 8mbps is here in your area ) .

Then I go to 2 tmpoint ask , they said got coverage , I ask tm twiiter support , they call me said got coverage .

Because it is on promotion with same price as 4mbps , I want to upgrade .

Yesterday went to tm office , they said got coverage , then I upgrade my 4mbps to 8mbps . All done in 20 minute . They said the tm installer guy will come to my house today morning .

After 4 hours , I get the 8mbps .. Hurray !!!

Then today morning , the tm installer guy call me without coming to my house .. Installer guy said " not support 8 mbps , only can use 4mbps  " . I was like WTH . I was now on 8mbps with no problem . 

So where is the logic of this ?

Got coverage , not support ?
But can run 8mbps  ? 

Until now I am still  on 8mbps . Dunno if they will revert me back to 4mbps or not ..

This means they simply advertise by not 100% sure if it is support or not .. They expect customer to apply , then they only check .. hmm ..

How stupid this sound ?

 

it was a program introduced by Najib last year 2017, all people get free upgrade double up at the same price.

No one knows at the moment. You will either get bumped to 8mbps or upgraded to unifi depending on the infrastructure at your location.

The webpage to verify this has been removed. I contacted their customer service and they told me they will email me the status later as they also can't check! 

imo, even if streamyx is to offer 2x speed free upgrade for the same price to its current streamyx users; its still unfair to
the existing streamyx users as they are already paying more than us unifi users.

No need complain. New signup can get 8mbps for rm100. Contact yr agent

today i went to tm sales asking auto free upgrade.
totally disappointed.
the answer is UNKNOWN ( ask you wait only ) , cant blame the staffs they follow SOP. every visit TM , surely seeing consumer making all noise , shout and angry....

i did ask below q n a ( by tm staffs )

Q : auto free upgrade when , A : wait aug and see

Q : may i upgrade to 8m or unifi ? A : wait aug and see

Q : why new streamyx deal is cheaper than me , can i get the same rate ? A : NOT , for new user

what i feel...new applicants tm welcome , regarding the Free upgrade or any just WAIT AND SEE.

i expect , if we got the free upgrade , i guess we may Q to 1 - 2 years ???? since TM is slow in action for free stuffs.

during the waiting , r we still paying the same and old rate ? or will TM rebate back the delay ? ( hope MCMC make a law for it )

only hope is MCMC , we cant do anything , they are giant , we are small fish ?

they say ended few days ago,
is it true?

You should contact your tm agent. As long still in system, can register
Edit: wa tm remove alr so fast.. before agent can come tm terminate..
