QUOTE(thecoffeeguy @ Nov 13 2014, 04:57 PM) Update on my streamyx with tablet application: Where is your area?Just installed my streamyx 4Mbps today. Quick n hassle free. However, the application process itself took 2 weeks. I applied on the 29th and got it installed today. Thus it is proven that the package is not only for Northern region states but for certain areas that TM deems as 'low-cost housing areas' Glad my place didnt have Unifi. Only have to pay rm88 for this mthly |

Sometimes just leave it for minutes or restart modem, then it'll OK
But even after that still cannot connect, then u should call 100 to reset ur line. |

QUOTE(achap @ Jan 7 2015, 10:34 AM) ![]() i'm not good at reading SNR Margin / Line Attenuation. Just need some opinion. my screamyx connection were stable & there was no reconnection & everything was ok. but yesterday when my neighbor (beside my house) start to install screamyx into their house (i dont know the speed of their internet), my connection starts to fall over (PPPoe keep reconnecting every 50mins - 1 hour). i'd called 100, RESETING the port, throw out the adsl filter (direct connection from phone cable), but the error still occur. any idea guys? oh~ btw, when i made a call, there a BIT noise sound. |

QUOTE(andyng38 @ Jan 21 2015, 10:01 PM) 4Mbps user here since April '14. No major problems with good speeds from April-December '14. This Jan, speed deteriorated. Getting 1700-1800kbps download. Your post is miscapped at 2M call 100 to fix it.Have lodged 5 complaints this month. It's a record...I've never complained so much to TM before! After 2 of those complaints, SNR became better, speed was normal for a short while (3500kbps or better for approx 6 hrs in one case, and 10 minutes in another case), then deteriorated again to the former levels. Have changed to new modem, new microfilter, new network cable. Same result as when using old modem, . It takes awhile to connect, with the DSL light blinking a long time, then the internet light being red for a whiles, then the DSL light becomes stable and internet light turns green. However once connected, the line is stable. The phone line when on a voice call is rather clear. TM technician came to house, checked phone line, then called someone to test my port...they couldn't even see the port. He then left to check the cabinet. My connect became fast again for 10 minutes today. There was a thunderstorm and power failure. After the storm was over and power came back, the 1700-1800kbps speed also returned. Don't know what else to do....will have to lodge a 6th complaint tomorrow if things remain as is. Attached below are photos my line stats and speed test. I have a feeling that the cabinet is having major problems. Any insight from network gurus here, or users with similar problems would be appreciated. ![]() ![]() |

The technician did some maintainance and miscapped ur port speed.Use neighbour's phone to call 100.also my fixed line phone stop working, can't even call 100 to get help. do other ppl encounter this situation( secretly change downstream speed) too? |

QUOTE(LordMuramasa @ Mar 12 2015, 01:30 PM) hi, is there anyway i can improve my SNR and line attenuation ? here my screenie ![]() http://i62.tinypic.com/vqs3kk.jpg QUOTE(andyng38 @ Mar 12 2015, 09:07 PM) I compared yr SNR and attenuation stats to post #1's figures in this thread and your figures range from good to excellent to outstanding! (12.1dB for downstream SNR is outstanding) Looks like you already have a very decent connect. Are you encountering any problems? The SNR downstream quite low ,and the attenuation for downstream also very high. The downstream stats not really good compared to the upstream. |

QUOTE(andyng38 @ Mar 12 2015, 11:33 PM) Whoops..I mixed up SNR and line attenuation where downstream was concerned. My bad...was blurrr. Let me remedy that properly. Maybe call the technician will do, mine few days ago have terrible SNR until <5 but I remove the splitter ,the problem solve.Comparing the stats in post#775 with the figures and their ratings in post #1: SNR up: 29.3dB. Outstanding SNR down: 12.1dB. Good with no sync problem Line attenuation up: 8dB. 20dB and below is outstanding Line attenuation down: 29.3dB. 20dB-30dB is excellent Yes his SNR downstream is a bit on the low side. What would u suggest to remedy that. A new microfilter perhaps? The rest of the figures seem to be rather good. |
