so i straight apply for 8mb promo...but only need to extend the contract for another 2 years..

streamyx dah seminggu problem. asyik down. yang peliknya dia probelm pada waktu tengahari sampai petang atau awal malam saja.

buat report. tm hantar orang check. dia tukar modem innacom. lepas dia balik je, line down up down sampai malam.

buat report lagi. harini dia tukar port. sama jugak tetap line down bila waktu tengahari. cuma macam lagi ok tak seteruk macam hari sebelumnya.

tapikan.. aku perasan bila dia tukar port speed internet dalam modem tulis 10k+, upload 6++. tapi bila speedtest download tetap 5++kbps , cuma upload speed je yang naik sikit. how come? inhatkan dapat upgrade speed free. kikiki

is there anyway to terminate streamyx without the penalty? got another 1year contract..
now using i150, no one using streamyx at my house except my father.. feel kinda rugi pay every month..

Hahaha ... me too, tried to live chat with them, and they told me CANNOT upgrade, because the package price actually the current package is RM88 + 1 (telephone charges)  = RM89, in the end same price with this bonanza campaign

i Just back from TM outlet, female girl say upgrade package from 4mb to 8mb rm89, got 2 yrs contract and hyppTV installation rm100 one time.

may i know anyone else got upgrade without need the hpyyTV installation at your area?

Unfortunately, this is something that you need to sacrifice. There's no way you can remain same hse phone number if you terminate.

In not nice words, TM are not so stupid to easily allow existing Streamyx customers that already been paying hundred over ringgits for Streamyx to downgrade the price with higher or same speed, cuz they will lose money in the end. Imagine if many existing customers are doing this, it won't benefit them at all.

In nicer words, they offer this new package to new customers only as they want to welcome new subscribers.

that's the question, i think they will not change price after 2yrs (from unicool experience). even it change back to rm160 month after 2 yrs, you can do this:

unhappy path:
- terminate again and subscribe again rm89/month package
- let say NO MORE 8mb rm89/mth offer after 2 yrs, surely the 4mb rm88 still will be there -> new subscribe 4mb rm88/mth (just have new contract 2yrs) ->back to your old time

happy path:
- after 2yrs, they never change to rm160/mth, continue use as it
- after 2yrs  let say NO MORE 8mb rm89/mth offer after 2 yrs, 4mb rm88 still there or newer better package or unifi already present at your area.

thanks to 2 guys from Streamyx 8MB thread informed these (every time open new streamyx will imposed cost below)
- stamp duty rm10 new subscribe; change number rm20
- cable existed, installation charge only rm35 instead rm50
- then you get new modem, phone, hpptv (default for 8MB- rm100 installation 1 time deal)
