Just request a upgrade your student package to 4Mbps RM88 at TMPoint...
*
Can an existing customer convert to the RM88 package? I was told before it was not possible. But then again just today I saw contractors laying fibre near my area, maybe I should just wait for UniFi..

just got a call from tm, offer RM120 per month for the 4mbps Blockblaster plan.
i am using 1mbps blockblaster plan at the moment with no contract.

i guess the 4mbps RM88 package doesnt come with rental of phone and free call to tm landline.

RM88 do come with free rental, and only need to add RM10 for free call.

Which Asus modem/router would be good for streamyx 4mb? DSL-N12U? DSL-N55U? Any other options? Need to replace my parent's unit back home, it's failing.

Might also need one of those tplink wifi repeaters.

The USB Port is for Cloud Print or Cloud Storage or maybe put a laptop cooler below? tongue.gif
Other than that, what other minor differences between ASUS DSL-N12E VS DSL-N12U?

Currently I'm using DSL-N12U biggrin.gif Yes, USB port really handy if u utilizes it. U can run torrent or direct download at your router, just connect pendrive. thumbup.gif

Other than that,

-n12u support dual wan, can do load balance using 3g/4g usb modem.
-n12u support vpn server/client.
-n12e cannot detach wireless antenna.

No no, you are correct. Older model DSL-N12E (not sure what revision) doesn't have detachable antenna.

I was sharing the information I found on Google that the DSL-N12E-C1 revision have detachable antenna, but not sure local reseller got sell or not.
