Aduhai, I just wrote that news piece and took Proton's PCC for reference. That reply from ANCAP was shocking.

Looks like Proton corrected the whole SNAFU. But look closely at other blogs and they do state the PCC got 5 stars from ANCAP.

In the end, better wait for tmr's clarification if there's any.

No matter what, what's relevant is the annual revision of the ANCAP regulations.

So for Preve, Suprima S and Exora which were tested in 2013, they cant use the same results to justify how safe it is in 2015 onwards.

Should the Preve, tested 5-star in 2013, tested in 2016, it might get poorer results than then 2013 one.

But come think of it, I recalled Proton promoted the Preve with 5stars ANCAP whereelse the official test were made in 2013

In the end, when PCC is launched, dealers will put ANCAP 5-Star rating in the brochures

This could provide some closure to the recent ANCAP debacle
