I see you're already full up. No worries, I'm just doing some of the bounties first. Let me know if a spot does open up though.Games DESTINY™ Official Thread | V1 (PS3/PS4), Become Legend

QUOTE(Dreamworks @ Sep 26 2014, 11:46 AM) I'm guessing players are leveling up faster than Bungie could release new content (or before their original planned schedule Your team should be able to do it, the mobs are harder than in the level 24 strike but the bosses are a piece of cake. You need to take advantage of elemental weaknesses of the enemies to bring down their shields so as long as you know what you're doing there you'll be fine. But I've been stuck at level 24 like forever... Been doing bounties and public events to get my Vanguard rank up, in order to purchase legendaries and push pass 24. Anyway, for pros who have completed the Queen's kill orders, do you think my fireteam can handle it? Me: Level 24 Warlock, fully upgraded subclass and rare gears, favor scout rifles. Friend1: Level 23 Titan, partially upgraded sub class and rare gears, favor auto rifles. Basically he's at the front line most of the time. Friend2: Level 22 Warlock, partially upgraded sub class and rare gears, favor auto rifles. Our medic, he's the one who revives us. But have to run around and hide because 1 hit from boss = KO. We did try a Level 24 strike recently but couldn't manage to complete it I will say that a level 24 strike from the playlist should be well within your capabilities too so I'm not sure what troubles you were having there. Good luck! |

Good raid session tonight. Just a little bit more to complete it. Got disconnected at the end there due to some strange permissions error, but looking forward to tomorrow's sesh.

Legendaries only take you up to 28, exotic bumps it to 29 and raid gear gets you to the big 3-0. Hope I get some raid armour tonight, envious of my friends who have it! I'm looking at you Rei7.
isr25 You folks were in the raid pretty long last night, did you get to Atheon? |

Ah, so apparently you either get the Chatterwhite shader or the Glass Minuet ship as one of the Raid completion rewards. No wonder I didn't get the shader. Anyway, saluting the team for a job well done!

Also durian, I'm down to run the raid with you again this week since you missed out on the completion rewards. I'm sure the other guys from the team don't mind joining too. We should spawn right at Atheon if you're fireteam leader. We have to do it tonight though before tomorrow's progress reset.

Playing as a Hunter, I disagree that we are OP in PVP. We have the least amount of health and both our supers are not automatic kills and can be wasted, requiring skill and planning to use them effectively.
With the Golden Gun you have limited time to aim and shoot at people while having a huge flaming golden target on your back. Arcblade requires you to plan ahead when to activate since it makes an obvious noise that alerts others when activated, and then you have to get up close and attack people individually giving people plenty of time to counter. Whereas the offensive supers of a Titan only require you to jump into a group of people and activate while the Warlock requires a little bit more aiming with both being AoE attacks. Edit: Forgot to mention another fatal flaw of the Hunter supers: they both have activation windows that leave the hunter vulnerable. Sometimes I wish I have a get-out-of-jail card like the titan smash that activates instantly. Definitely helps in sticky situations! So all in all the supers across the 6 subclasses each have their advantages with none being OP. This post has been edited by swimfan: Sep 29 2014, 04:12 PM |

QUOTE(jax2103 @ Sep 29 2014, 04:10 PM) I also agree with this.. Hunter activating super animation really open chance for other to easily kill. When i'm using Golden Gun, chance to get 3 kills was so low. Always manage only one kill. While using Arc Blade, can get to 5 kill streak if only enemy gather 1 place (usually gather to capture point). That also need to activate when you saw the red glimp on the radar. What can i say is when playing hunter in crucible, be patient and high alert with your environment. Keep moving everytime, don't be greed even if you leading the scoreboard. Yep, that super activation window on the Hunters is something I forgot to mention in my initial post. It's definitely a huge weakness that other people can exploit. I've gotten many free kills from people activating a Hunter super in plain view of me.If you wanna talk about OP class abilities, that Titan shoulder charge tho... I'm just kidding. |

When you see a Titan sprinting towards you, take out your shotgun and pray it's not a super. The most effective way of countering that shoulder charge, IMHO.

QUOTE(shiranui @ Sep 29 2014, 05:39 PM) Should I go self res or nova bomb for warlock then? Self res is good for the raid. Even one man down can make it the raid whole lot tougher. That, and the best heavy dps I have is the truth rocket launcher as its void, or a rare void mg. Dr nope and void rare fusion rifle is probly going to be my loadout. |

Raid resets tomorrow. I think with the regular team we can get it done in an hour this time. That should leave plenty of time for Shadow of Mordor.

QUOTE(durian @ Sep 30 2014, 01:31 AM) nope. ppl dc then. decided to call it That was a good plan for the Atheon fight. Gives me confidence we can do it fairly quickly with the regular team. working tomorrow la fren. but the new strats 2 hunters with the relic team make it so much easier. need to work on the defence team a bit and we should be golden. btw great work guys for today's raid A point to consider for everyone jumping on the middle platform: yesterday I noticed that with the team split up three ways during the buff, sometimes when Atheon attacks the sides, we don't get a clear line of sight to his weak spot. I'm not sure if it's the same for the defending team on the sides when Atheon faces centre. Everyone jumping to the centre forces Atheon to face one direction with clear LoS to the weak spot, ensuring consistent critical damage from the team. |

QUOTE(durian @ Sep 30 2014, 10:18 AM) thanks for pointing out. will try to do all mid next time. Yeah the jumping around can get a little dicey there is a risk of dying at the mid and a bit messy when defending team going back to their allocated position. but due to the enrage timer at 8 min revealing the vital point seems like a good idea QUOTE(Oblivionz @ Sep 30 2014, 10:35 AM) swimfan See, you guys don't have to carry me makes it easier to win the 2v3 skirmish. Haha. when u quit my team and join the raid team during the skirmish, we still won lol. 2 v 3 also won, freaking noobs the opposing team. so Rei7, Ninja, durian, swimfan wanna raid tonight? Catch-20-2 should be able to join for tonight's raid. Yeah let's do the raid tonight, we can get more raid gear to prepare for Hard mode. I want my Chatterwhite! |
