Yep same, I do it for the marks. Anything else is a bonus. Farming for drops is much better done in a Heroic Story mission.

This seems to be a pretty effective way of farming Vanguard marks. Do the public events over and over. Side bonus, sometimes you get rare mats too. The fella maxed his weekly in 4 hours.

Heh, I just found out that you can shoot out the turrets of the Fallen dropship that transports the mobs. Now that makes me wonder if you can bring down the whole ship...

I'm sure a bunch of people will hit a new level as soon as Xur comes back this weekend. I'm so close to 26 I can taste it. Probably gonna save my motes for the Speaker though, the Legend of Six Coyotes hunter cloak looks sick. Unless Xur convinces me otherwise..

Ah, Saturday's my "crawl out of the dungeon to see the sun" day for me. I can probably do Saturday evening and night, or whole of Sunday. Dont wait for me if you've got a group going though.

I'm down for an all-nighter on Saturday.


Also, I gotta give props to my boys Ax1Doz and gimmeone for the epic battle that was the weekly level 26 heroic last night. Doing it with two level 25s and a 24 took strategy, coordination, and a big helping of cheese to finally take down Phogoth at 2:30am. Requiring tactics brings the game up to a whole new level.

Also, doing the higher levels net you more Strange Coins.

Edit: Xur's here, I had a hunch he'd be somewhere else this time. He's in Tower North, across the walkway that leads to the Speaker. Exotics are Titan helmet, Hunter chestpiece, Warlock gauntlets, a rocket launcher and a chest engram. You can also trade in glimmer, spinmetal and spirit blooms for strange coins.

Nothing I want for my hunter this week, but those gauntlets sure look nice. Looks like I'm getting the cloak from the Speaker.

Finally hit level 26 and Vanguard rank 3, good time to call it a night then. I should be set for the Raid tomorrow, how many players we got now? We should also indicate what weapon types to bring, I'm thinking Arc and Void?

Side note: I was patrolling on Venus passing by the Raid area and what do you know there was a Raid going on! I'm surprised it isn't in a walled-off instance, but I suppose that early part is still in a public instance. Looking forward to try it out myself.

Two legendary engrams today, both for heavy weapons. I already have 3 legendary heavies, and 1 exotic. Oh well, at least I can dismantle them for rare mats.

AFAIK the armour is DLC content which is not out yet. In any case I haven't seen them in-game. Weapons are already available, the Monte Carlo AR and Hawkmoon HC but these are super rare drops since they are exotic weapons. I've seen a few people with these weapons in the game. I know someone got the Monte Carlo as a Crucible reward.

Apparently a new mission with the Queen opens up when you turn in a bounty from her. Unverified though.
