Ever since I got my 360 I have always put my powerbrick on a shoe box. Even on the ground I haven't had problems but I like to keep on the safe side

I was already having doubts about the intercooler in the first place. Good thing I didn't waste my money on one in Singapore. Anyway, good ventilation + any kind of fan + air con = no disco lights as boss Djinn says
