I'm looking to buy a new monitor but I'm all confused and stumped by all these VGA, DVI and HDMI thingy...
I'm playing with GTX 770 and looking for a monitor with resolution 1920x1080. I've already marked a few monitors but some of them are stated to be Full HD but without HDMI... What is HDMI exactly for? :S
For example this Acer S220HQL Full HD monitor. One comes with VGA + DVI + HDMI, while the other one only has VGA + DVI.
And right now, a seller is selling the same monitor (Full HD) and he stated that it comes with a DVI to HDMI cable. Is it good enough? Will it be full HD overall?
Thanks in advance.
dvi and hdmi basically deliver the same output quality except hdmi can carry audio output.. so if your monitor does not include built-in speaker, its kind of pointless to connect it using hdmi.. however nowadays most gadgets using hdmi connections..I'm playing with GTX 770 and looking for a monitor with resolution 1920x1080.
