I'm looking to buy a new monitor but I'm all confused and stumped by all these VGA, DVI and HDMI thingy...
I'm playing with GTX 770 and looking for a monitor with resolution 1920x1080. I've already marked a few monitors but some of them are stated to be Full HD but without HDMI... What is HDMI exactly for? :S
For example this Acer S220HQL Full HD monitor. One comes with VGA + DVI + HDMI, while the other one only has VGA + DVI.
And right now, a seller is selling the same monitor (Full HD) and he stated that it comes with a DVI to HDMI cable. Is it good enough? Will it be full HD overall?
Thanks in advance.
FullHD is just an alias to 1920x1080 or 1200, even VGA also can deliver 1080 or high resolution, the difference btween them are, VGA is Analog type, DVI and newer are Digital.I'm playing with GTX 770 and looking for a monitor with resolution 1920x1080. Newer interface can support high resolution and more bandwidth, like DisplayPort can support upto 4K@60fps, but if you're gaming at 1080p that's non of your concern
