I have a FD maturing soon.

I failed with the discussion and I have to bear the penalty.

I will withdraw that FD and move to Affin.

3.35% / 2 = 1.65% p.a

I put this money to M2U Saver also can get 2.2%

After this lesson, I learned to be smarter and I want to end all my saving products and cc with them. A good move so I can consolidate.

Bro.., yes, it seems the RM 700 deduction is unavoidable.
Short term pain is better than long term pain, withdraw Am Bank and move to other banks
is a right decision.

If you are not concerned about PIDM issue, MBSB 5 years at 4.7% is another option.
But I think it is better to put in short term first, Affin 4.38% for 2 years is a good option at this time.

Affin - I do have their AffinPlus Current Account long time ago.. and the interest is good but it is tier basis. So the effective interest is not that good compared to M2U Saver @ 2.2%

dear all fd guru(s),

for a joint fd account, if one of the acc holder received bankruptcy notice, the joint fd will be freezed on court order to bank.

when this happen, is it true that the other joint acc holder cannot do anything to unlock the freezed fd??

Just done FD with affin. The branch has no customers one. All teller were free!

SCB RM just called. Started yesterday 3.75% 3 months FD. Available till quota filled.

that one thing I loved about affin.. few customer only & sometimes none at all all banking stuff done within 15min

My Affin saving account book does not mention any particular type of saving account,
I guess it is just a normal saving account.

I would say Affin Gold SA.. sadly it's for Senior citizen only (those aged 50 and above)

Online FD placement is at board rates most of the time. Promos are done over the counter based on all that I've done so far.

Mach HLB online placement 12mths now is 4%
