Hi guys,

I'm will be starting renovation in the next 2 months.
Right now I'm designing the floor plan, tiling and kitchen cabinets.

The attach image is the propose First Floor Plan.
I'm hoping if forumer could propose the layout kicthen cabinet.
Even after the renovation, it is not that big.
Where should I located my fridge?
Is a Kitchen Stove c/w Oven is a good idea rather than hob?
Would my space area will be do find with a counter so my wife could sit down while doing lengthy task?

Input from experience guys will cut my learning curve at least by 1/3.
Will than start study for more info and designing on my self so when I when to the contractor, I have a good plan in my head and they will put it into a practical plan/layout.

Thanks guys.

Thanks.
That was a fast drafting.
Good opinion you have there.
Yes, maybe I should opt to put the fridge on the optional location, and sure the other location as a counter. Look spacious enough.
Will model it in 3D if I decide so.

Do you have any opinion of using a stove c/w oven rather than a hop and a separate oven?

Thanks

Usually I won't prefer oven install at below of stove.
I would doing in separate for higher level much easier to inlet n take out your food.

My idea just for option only, you can engage IDs for doing nicer in 3D drawing for u smile.gif

Good luck

Right, you have some reason there.
My wife say there people saying that such stove c/w oven much more easy to go spoil.
I'm using ehem ehem Chief Architect to draw my own plan and 3D.
Wouldn't have budget for ID know plus my house is not the big to have and ID.
But I'm sure the cabinet contractor have whip some 3D drawing on the cabinet when we proceed them.

hi, do you need to pay for the application? Can the app design ID? Easy to use?
*
Yes, the cost is very expensive.
You can opt for Home Designer which is a downgrade of the software but way cheaper.
For a CAD user, this software is easy to use, have video to learn with.
But not worth it for the price and learning time if you using for just one time small house project.
If building a house from scratch, then it is a different story.

I like the feature whereby Chief Architect app can do very nice ID easily. Can Home Designer do the same?
*
Yes.
But ofcourse the some complex jambo mambo is not in Home Designer.
But you probably wont used it.

Actually own design is much challenging your times and needs with idea comes from.

But for me, I would like to do my needs n design by own with space arrangement else.

What so difficult? To be space arrangement n the rest just peanut.

OH MY ENGLISH, so I update the following post:
To play with the software is easy.
However to do a correct design mean that the user is aware on the typical dimension, correct placement etc etc etc.
You may like to set something as 1.1m but if the typical is 0.8m, that wont work.
Then assume you have 100 things miss dimensions like that.

But if you say that it's a peanut, what to argue.
I'm doing it.
I think it worth it my time and I'm an engineer so i can be predict half of a correct thing to do stuff.
And I'm using the ehem ehem software, so no cost.
But that me.

Cool what software are you using may I know? Thanks!

Chief Architect X6.

The lower cost for home user is Home Designer (same company, different but almost same software).
You can download the software and try it out.
You can't save your design though when in trial mode.
If you like it, you can purchase it - if the price is acceptable to you.

I finished my first kitchen design for my home renovation.
If you have the experience, please review and comment:

I wonder if I should have the cutting board area / counter at the side of bath wall.
it is about 1.4m from the counter egde to the other wall cabinet edge.

If I'm to have Granite as top material and Solid Wood for both Door and Body/Frame material, how much the cabinet & sofit will be.

around 88"
Distance from Cabinet to Wall:
Yours is 2.2m. Look big.
Mine is 1.7m.

Maybe I could put that counter at the wall.

Hi,

Planning to install 4G Cabinets.
Wondering if the aluminum color for the holder can be change to black instead the aluminum original color.

Thanks.

Somebody, please comment.

Is this is too gloomy?
Black Cabinet of 4G Doors.

Note: Some of the pictures has not showing the toilet walls, diving walls and the bar.
Also hoping that the aluminum holder can be color to black for consistency.

You hit the nail on the head.

Ideally, you should mix different tones so it's not too one dimensional. In this case, the overall effect is too heavy and dark.

I suggest using a different colour/pattern of cabinet. At the very least, invest in cabinet downlighting to light your work surface and bounce off the backsplash to outline from the rest of your cabinetry.

I'm actually hate multi-coloring and try to get a consistency color. But that would, like you say, hit the nail on the head.

Yes, getting that lighting is good idea!
I will do that. That is why designer get their black cabinet look expensive and elegant.

I also think you should have some pendant lighting over that cute little island to make the space a bit more intimate than it should allow. Sorry for the chicken scratch sketching. I don't have a pen for my iPad.

Would try to look into this. I already plan to have LED on the ceiling, and the space is so small.
Too many thing may only add the cluster. But I do like it. It could work.

QUOTE
Edit: to give you an example, interior designer Kelly Hoppen's own kitchen. As you can see, her kitchen is basically the same colour scheme, albeit with a light solid coloured backsplash and glass worktop. But you can see where I'm going with this. Also, I've noticed your cabinetry reaches all the way to the ceiling? Typically, we'd try to avoid doing that as it will weigh the space down visually. You can also see the kitchen below has a gap between the top cabinets and the ceiling. Unless you were going for the extra storage space.

Yes you are right. shouldn't go to all the way on the wall height.
Will reduce the height.
Sir, you have spend your time to help me, with good ideas.
Good one, I say!
I'm in depb to you. *Bro Hug*.

Like this white painted solid nyatoh.

thanks. is spray  paint = 4G?
i found that acrylic is the cheapest.
Glass is the most expensive.

please help which is more reliable n not easy to get scratch .
thank you
*
4G and 3G are glass-type doors with color in the back.
Solid wood may use spray paint.
Acrylic door is not the cheapest.
Acrylic door is expensive.
Are you sure i been inform correctly on the pricing?

Acrylic could get scratch and also some type of color get discolor over time.

4G & 3G are easier to maintain.
