Suprise surprise!

Where are the lawyers? Football pundits? Philosophers?

I guess last night was the epitome of everything as Arsenal fans to them.

Phew!

Despite just going up against a very average QPR side, Man Utd does look dead set on becoming a powerhouse in the league. Goes to show that $$$ equal success. And its very apparent that their greatest strength is in their offense. Any clubs would shit in their pants seeing last night team sheet. Mata, Rooney, Di Maria, RVP...combine that with the other new players out to prove their worth, you get an entertaining one-sided match that is bound to produce lots of goals.
I'm very much impressed with Di Maria's workrate and quality. His speed runs, his dribbling and his impeccable precision to passing right in front of his mates makes him very invaluable to any teams he plays for. Definitely proved his worth with that amount of money purchased over the transfer season.
Its still early in the season, but already the fans are out of their caves in waves chanting the long-not-heard of songs at Old Trafford, everything right that makes for one euphoric night for the fans and the players. Expect the typical manU fags to proclaim winning the league and such after this. Seriously, I can stand the club, even praise them for their deserving comeback...but if I had a genie in a bottle, I'd just wish for all their fans to just go back to the cave where they can quietly enjoy their team from a small gap in the crack.

Wenger really made a big risk not buying backup for our defensive side.
But I like what our forumer said just now, Arsenal are known for their comeback traits...against all odds we always seem to be able to produce good results.

QUOTE(LordDenning @ Sep 16 2014, 11:00 AM)
but he is right. Can you see Arsenal winning the league without a proper CDM? and after watching Flamini's performance against City? lulz

Now also we terghegeh-hegeh with our defensive options after injury to Debuchy, so either Chambers or Bellerin will take up RB. If Chambers play, Bellerin sub < then who back up Per/Kos? Now also Monreal and Gibbs keep getting injury, one comes back from injury the other picks up an injury.

and Ozil with his shite defending and defensive work rate, we are effectively 9 vs 10 when defending.
*
Yup, Arsenal no chance of ever winning anything this season.
Please reward Man City the league trophy now just to make it simple.

LOL. Some Arsenal fans here get ultra-defensive with everything? I'm being realistic. Good for you if you can see us winning the premier league, if you ask me, I would say no, not with this kind of squad depth, availability of key players in key positions and player roles. Retaining the FA Cup or winning the League Cup? Sure, I will say we have a chance there. Not for the BPL and UCL for me. No need to get so defensive and sarcastic. You have your views, I have mine. I wasn't being offensive to anyone, so you don't need to either.

Its fine. I know a glory hunter when I see one.
You're definitely not one. Being able to see your own team shite players and their weak points certainly deserve a lot of praise as a true Gunners fan. notworthy.gif

Many fans like fed up with wenger edi...i didn't expect he would renew his contract last season...

Board wont remove him unless fans really really stage a very bad protest...
*
Lalang fans mentality, can't be help. Everything is about winning now.
If lose, then its total disaster to the club, must sell players, must boot manager, must kick Board.
No more people have sense of faith to the club and its beliefs.
Its one thing when fans from other clubs jeer you and mock your club, its another when your own 'fan' is your worst critic.
But that is reality.... just hope to enjoy the game and let them see what Arsenal club is all about.

QUOTE(Thumpy Ick @ Sep 20 2014, 06:06 PM)
there must be a balance. there's the wenger out brigade, and then there's the in wenger i trust brigade. i've been on both sides, now i praise and shit on players when they deserve it. ozil's been on my shit list for a few weeks, yes form is temporary class is permanent, wait and he'll bounce back stronger than ever blablabla, well you just dont wait for that class to come back you have to work for it, and i dont see him improving game to game at all. although wenger also has to take the bulk of the blame here, you dont just transform a player like ozil to what he is today, something must be wrong in the management.

most common sentiment i see is that wenger's now building the team around jack wilshere, and you can see he's been on excellent form these past few weeks. and ozil is too big a name to be dropped in order to accommodate both wilshere and ramsey in the center, so he gets shoved on the flanks. his refusal to drop ozil and play santi/AOC there weirds me out. yeah maybe santi is in bad form too, and AOC rarely plays good when he starts, but god damn that is why they were dropped, ozil is on a bad patch of form and never gets dropped.

last game though finally we see ozil get subbed out, maybe it's a sign that wenger's had enough. or not i dont know. interesting to see how ozil plays today, i dont think he'll be dropped.
*
Yeah, maybe its just me, but I've set this standard that I've come to accept that Ozil is the type of player that never would track back or defend simply because he's not good at that. A one dimensional player if you may. That is why I don't think he deserve the insults and hate for something that he simply isn't good at. Despite his lack of contribution in the past game, I still see him linking very well between mid-fielders and our attacker. Sometimes in a game where everything goes wrong, we try to find one player to put the blame on because its just convenient for us as fans. The responsibility lies on the manager to make sure his players doesn't lose focus and feeling down because of a blip. I certainly fear if Ozil turns to Torres because of his failure to entertain us fans with pinpoint passes or assists.

You mean like how they were when they signed Moyes? or back when Chelsea signed Luiz Filippe Scolari or Guss Hiddink or Carlo Ancellotti.
