this is so true. look back when mRO first release and there are no other games which similar to RO which make RO is unique and i like it. but thats all and thats RO

now TOS everyone expectation is new RO. fine its same dev but unfortunately its still not new RO. the dev never make game for vet RO either.
i always go to TOS official forum, many people want it to be new RO. there also thread there about removing skill CD and pot CD which is most broken in RO aka spam fest 1 button to win. or even thread to make monk using fist as RO. why fist?not all monk in other mmo using fist. pole/staff, sabre etc etc

btw indo TOS will start CBT ...soon? i think tomorrow

the whole point of being a spiritual successor is to have similar features and not just a name, otherwise its just another of your new everyday mmo. GE was also developed by the same guy, but its not "new" RO either because it wasn't meant to be a successor.

actually there is, its kinda weird though. like casting aoes, you have to hold down the skill to cast and then only start to target

does TOS announce to be RO successor? no right but most people aka vet RO player that want TOS to have similar feature as RO.
that the core of problem. the PLAYER want the features from RO and when dev not include it, everyone keep compare it to RO. people forgot that TOS is brand new games and to target all kind of people. from brand new class system to new gameplay.

"Spritual successor of Ragnarok Online" is the key sentence. And the word in particular should be SPIRITUAL. The most rightful way to compare TOS to RO is thus obviously the spirit, the quintessence, and the feeling.

Wouldn't it be better if you sit down a moment and remember all those moments in RO, thinking what made RO the game it was. Then try to catch its SPIRIT instead of comparing both games feature per feature, design per design, or mechanic per mechanic.

Check out this review. I definitely agree with his points on the comparison of TOS to RO.

Great community, limitless ways to develop your character, job, and equipment, the BGM, the emoticons, etc.

I didnt have the chance to play the CBT but from what i have seen, i think it looks good.

------------------

Hello guys!

It’s already been two months since we’ve had our 1st CBT (wow time flies!) and I’m excited to finally share with you some updates we have for our 2nd CBT.
(please note that the following may be subject to change depending on the progress of development)

Our plan at the moment is to launch the 2nd CBT for Tree of Savior in October.
The test will run longer this time, for approximately one month, and previous testers who have joined us in the 1st CBT will be able to join us again, along with 5,000 new testers.

Further details regarding test schedules and tester selection will be announced as we finalize so please hang on for official announcements in the future and until then, thank you for your patience and ongoing support for Tree of Savior.
