Kenny, do you know whether the regular 2WD Lancers have Hill Start Assist or not? So far from what I've read it's only the 4WD/Ralliart version that has it?

QUOTE(iguana_tan @ Nov 28 2014, 03:53 PM) sad to say i did once pour in syntium 1000 as the center don't have 3000 that time. after that immediate feel car move like turtle... from that time on ward, no more w50 for me. if not have 3000, i rather take syntium 800. Larkin SC gave me 1000. Now waiting for another 1 or two months until oil is due for change until I change it to Redline or something. Car is accelerating like snail.

QUOTE(K3nnYkl82 @ Dec 2 2014, 10:13 AM) Honestly ... stop wasting your money and save it to treat me yumcha better.. Paultan Reseach Octane Number @ RONpaultan also dun wan explain MON common .. share us the MON research papers Like that if we decided to stick with 97 forever then you can flash in a map that has more advanced timing then only can feel the difference? Or need to have more aggressive ignition timing along with higher compression pistons etc then only will have the difference in performance? Cause what I can think of is that those people who stated that they experience more power with 97 is like what you said the knock sensor will detect more resistance to knocking due to 97 and the ECU will advance timing a little more and thus the engine will be able to generate more power?

QUOTE(K3nnYkl82 @ Dec 2 2014, 11:19 AM) there is still an upper limit timing map .. the ecu wont go above that. and again .. our ECU is not pro-active type .. its a closed loop type.. it detected knock through the knock sensor .. which then only start to retard the timing .. in other words .. knock already occur FIRST .. its better to have prevention then cure u see.. inside the map consist a lot of things.. including things like warm up retard mapping.. this to ensure lesser emission is lower when your engine still cold. there is also cold temperature mivec settings.. This upper timing limit map, can increase?

QUOTE(MeToo @ Dec 2 2014, 11:53 AM) DOnt use additives or octane boosters etc.... those are NOT value for money... terus buy higher grade (race) oil better... Not mistaken there's one common ingredient in most octane boosters that will turn your spark plugs rusty orange colour also. Forgot what's the ingredient called already. I know STP booster has it.

Miss those days of carburetor cars where you can twist twist the distributor to adjust the timing on the fly. Switch between 97 and 95 mode lol.
