I feel that Sony firmware still not up to par with the rest. My HTC firmware is light years ahead in look and feel. Sony one looks like it was made by a half ass grad student. Sure its minimalistic.. but this minimalistic in a bad way. I am especially bothered by their weak Contacts app. Their camera menu is overly complicated to do mundane stuff like to access HDR. Too many button clicks to access the function you need. Their default clock and calender widget also not customizable. I had to install 3rd party widget which i didnt have to do on my old HTC. I also like the way HTC had the foresight to move all their software to the Play Store to increase their frequency of bug fix. If i not mistaken Sony did the same but using the Update Center. But user cant provide feedback here.
Hardware wise Sony is great, but software wise they still quite weak... at least that is my first impression after a few days using this phone.

Btw, I did a comparison next to each other between HTC One M7 and Z3 screen and I notice the M7 screen is slightly better to my eye. The color is more vibrant without being overblown. Z3 tends to be on the extreme, either too vivid or not vivid enough. X-reality engine is partly to be blame and partly coz of the screen itself. But brightness is definitely Z3 win hands down. White balance on the m7 also tend to look more colder white which looks good. The setting cannot be changed. On Z3 you can set whatever you want. Warmer or colder is up to your preference.

the video shot i notice has terrible focus hunting problem. i cant lock to a single point...
I also notice alot of video tearing on Superior Auto mode due to the 30fps. Once i revert to manual 60fps it gets much better. But this is a common problem with all camera phones i think... In manual mode also the focus hunting is "less" crazy.

Perhaps the channel settings is in Japan mode or something, because Japan only can go up to 11. yup. it depend on the countries "official" rules. some handset brand/device has a preset set in already inside the firmware but some dont. so to be safe just pick 11 and below. channel 12 -13 is work base on luck. i cant remmeber exactly which countries that support it officially. Btw, the battery life of this device still astounds me... damn. 9am till now with heavy use and i still have 75%  usually my htc one m7 needs to find power bank already right about now...
