QUOTE(dlsl @ Sep 21 2014, 09:14 AM) there is a comparison between note 4 vs iphone 6+ including display and picture quality comparison: note 3 can go as high as 660 so it went down a bithttp://translate.google.com/translate?dept...AXY_Note_4.html according to this site, color accuracy of the note 4 is around 6500K which is alot better than the ifon 6+ which is around 7400K (slightly bluish tint) note 4 brightness can go as high as 620 cd/m2 in auto mode but only 370 manual mode. ifon 6+ is around 492cd/m2 http://www.displaymate.com/Galaxy_Note3_ShootOut_1.htm |

QUOTE(dlsl @ Sep 22 2014, 08:35 AM) If we compare displaymate result between note 3 vs note 4 in auto mode, note 4 is higher ~750cd/m2. Wow I didnt check displaymate's review on the note 4. 750cd....my god crazy high. The note 3, for me nno matter what time of the day clicking auto will definitely be perfectly visible. Wonder how will it be with this one! Maybe the Hi-tech and displaymate testingg with different matter. I'm not sure. I think brightness more than or around 600cd/m2 is good enough since most good lcd also around ~600cd/m2 like in htc one m8. I didnt wanna get the note 4 as the note 3 is great enough already for me. But if we really get exynos, I don't think I'll be able to tahan!! This post has been edited by arslow: Sep 22 2014, 10:06 AM |

QUOTE(alexng2208 @ Sep 22 2014, 01:26 PM) why exynos? for the build in LTE or for the more cores thing? Simply because its something new in terms of architecture :)is it more efficient than qualcomm's 805? i'm thinking qualcumm would be better as it has more support from the xda cummunity? For me right, as long as got debloated rooted rom quite ok ready. Custom kernel is a bonus. And actually if we get thr exynos we will have the kernel dev god andreilux  I don't care about AOSP so the whole #blamesung thing doesn't matter to me :D Im just a hardware freak so the exynos is definitely more interesting this time around. Maybe for the note 5 I'll go back to snapdragon. |

OK, i know everyone's saying usb 3.0 wont be missed in terms of charging from the wall and also transfer speed since no one does much of that, but what about laptop charging? For the first time today , I used a usb 3.0 cable to charge the phone using my laptop. Wow, fast enough that I dont need a wall plug. 1200mah constant. So note 4 will be back to 500mah?

QUOTE(thelightside @ Sep 25 2014, 12:00 PM) Actually on my note3 i plug in usb 2.0 the charging current seem to be the same checking with galaxy charging current paid version so o think its all good when it comes to charging... Aik, seriously? I'll have to check with usb 2.0 port later. Maybe its because ur laptop has some sort of fast charge tech |

QUOTE(edtai @ Sep 28 2014, 08:29 AM) Yup. Even my Note 3 has dropped few time with no problem as covered by soft casing all round. Remove the soft cover the phone just like a new phone from shop except the oily screen. I dont think edge can be covered liked that. So taking out from pan pocket need to be very careful though. May need to use man handbeg to keep it indeed. Really like the side screen as notification and news can be read without open the cover. Anyway, it could drain battery faster than Note4. I think you took his comment a little too literally He was making a pun joke |

QUOTE(ben3003 @ Oct 1 2014, 04:47 PM) my s4 exynos is lagging.. but i saw this exynos looks good.. They say the gap is not a defect, then what is it? lousy manufacturing? lousy design? By right shouldnt have the gap. Summore u see they say will rocking and vibration, they already admit the part is lousy, but they trying to say it in a way that it doesnt sound lousy. if u watch the video by android authority one page earlier, you will see that he says even the note 2 and note 3 manual is written that there will be a gap which is needed in case the phone expands or something like that.So....dunno la what to say about it |

QUOTE(edtai @ Oct 2 2014, 07:25 PM) You give correct answer except Note3. The retail price is still very strong at RM2k after one year. This seldom happen to any Samsung product. Samsung's has really push the hardware to maximum and leading the market for quite long since it launch 2 half last year. I bought note 3 on second day for 2199....so hopefully the same this time too |

QUOTE(Gouki @ Oct 8 2014, 04:24 AM) based on anandtech review of the kirin 920, its performance is barely any better than the 801 maybe 925 is better, but I dont think its MUCH better, but we'll see once anandtech reviews the mate 7 in terms of updates....really slow.... |

QUOTE(oldKyoo @ Oct 10 2014, 10:01 AM) Nope. As for the screen, was on auto brightnes, ironically that prolly made a bigger impact on the battery as it kept going from bright to dim to and fro Yeah my activity these days on my note 3 is pretty much plex and netflix mostly, with the occasional browsing. Barely any gaming. But im a lil worried as my SOT is usually about 6 hours. I guess it'll get better in a few more days for your note 4 Yes, but I dont play mobile games. Then again, I stream video content pretty much all the time to my device. If you had the note 3 before, would you say your note 4 batt life is about the same? |
