Yup, in fact it is the worst live stream ever made by Apple.  shakehead.gif

Uncle Benny getting Note 4 or Edge?  biggrin.gif
*
Wait for arrival than only decide but probably will be Note 4 as i find the Edge is gimmicky. Will compared it with iphone 6+...high chances ip6+ wont stay long in my hands as never was impressed since first ip till ip5 ( skipped ip5s). Hopefully ios 8 will be significantly different. I am only impressed with Mac OSX n is my main PC past 8 years

Yup, same goes to G Pro 2. Samsung is slightly better.

Just checked LG G Pro2 prices at Lazada all sellers increased prices by about rm350 , now averaging rm1650 vs rm1200-1300 last week!

Our javier here is getting pissed off replying in big bold red letters. Cool down ! IOS vs Android is a never ending debate. I have used both platforms n both have its pro n cons.
I am unlike some "die die" will argue one is better than the other
I would say is just choose which OS meets your needs better
Both are developing platforms. If one can afford just get one of each OS
Only thing I dont quite like Apple fans is most of them think they are smarter users vs Android!! See some of those fanatical posts at ip6 threads.
How fans will praise is something sometimes quite unbelievable eg recent Apple Watch. Personally it is ugly to me with its crown at its side. But than the praises of it is just unbelievable - innovation , innovation. Anyway i have no interest at all with such wearables. It is good Apple fans love it

Gouki : well said. As long as one is happy with it ( either IOS, Android, Windows or BB) stay happy and just learn how to cease talking bad about others OS. I see absolutely no benefit talking bad of any OS. It doesn't show you are smarter or better - just self gratification only
Anyway I will be getting the ip6+ again solely to test out and will keep it longer if I am happy with it. If not, I will just sell it off . I always and only believe in self experience using it - all those web reviews/video are purely reference material only

I just pass HTC ONE M8 for my sister replace her Sony Xperia ZL.

HTC ONE M8 is a solid phone but too bad I too need big screen. So bye bye M8.

Next year I not going step in any 5" phone ever already. My minimum is 5.5" up to  6".
*
Just like me...using any 5 incher no matter how good it is, is out for me. Even my Find7 at 5.5 inch i find barely tolerable. The Find7 is best performance n smoothest Android i had used to date. Pity is only 5.5 inch. Best ideal size for me is 6 inch display size

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has the best display as per DisplayMate!  rclxm9.gif  rclxms.gif  thumbup.gif

BGR summarizes it :
We already know that the Galaxy Note 4 features a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,440 x 2,560-pixels, but that only tells a fraction of the story. While pixel density is definitely important when it comes to measuring display quality, color accuracy might just as, if not more, important and DisplayMate has found that the Note 4 “has the most accurate colors… of any smartphone or tablet display that we have ever measured.”

DisplayMate also found that the Note 4’s display had above average ratings for screen reflection and for overall brightness while also delivering a significant 14% improvement to the display’s power efficiency compared with the Galaxy Note 3.

“Based on our extensive lab tests and measurements, the Galaxy Note 4 is the best performing smartphone display that we have ever tested,” DisplayMate concludes. “It matches or breaks new records in smartphone display performance for: Highest Absolute Color Accuracy, Highest Screen Resolution, Infinite Contrast Ratio, Highest Peak Brightness, Highest Contrast Rating in Ambient Light, and the smallest Brightness Variation with Viewing Angle.”

If this Note4 2k display battery efficiency is true, it will shame LG3 n Find 7 display battery usage. I am using Find 7 n achieved only 4-5 hours SOT ( rooted w xposed mod, greenify n intelli3g app) vs say the LG G Pro2 w 1080p ( 7-8 hours SOT)

That's the reason stop me from buying Find 7 too. Slow update.

Good that Samsung play catch up game now
*
Majority of Find 7 users are on CM or other custom roms w Android 4.4.4 already. Their default ColorOS firmware is unattractive. Rooting n installing custom rom will not void warranty

Cm is never 100% hug free on any phone. Except maybe Nexus and one plus

Definitely will have some hardware not working or software glitches.
Stick to whatever firmware the phone comes with or buy a phone that comes with your desired firmware.

Sorry to dissapoint you; CM 11 working very fine on my Find 7 without a single bug since build 4 Aug till now !! I had never faced those so called bugs reported by some users only

There are reported 1.7 billion smartphone users in the world in 2014
How many % of them knows or interested in Modding n flashing stuffs?
Look at XDA - reported membership is 5.8 million. Even if you multiply this by 10X the number of users interested in such stuffs barely hit even 5%.
So the manufacturer is not really interested in whether SD or Exynos is good enough for us as we are deemed minority users

It doesn't really matters to me whether it is SnapDragon or Exynos.. Since the S4 and Note 3 days I had rarely flash roms on the Samsung. I find the default stock roms is good enough for me as after testing several custom roms I always goes back to stock rom. I had never like TW and always replace it with Nova. In fact I had never like those custom made UI ( Samsung TW, HTC Sense, Sony UI, HW, LG etc) and always use Nova as a replacement
And I am quite sure 128GB ext SDcard is supported as I had tested it on my LG G Pro2, Mediapad X1 ( specs limit it to 64 GB only). No good reason why Samsung being a more established manufacturer will not support a 128GB card

He just like and enjoying jabbing Samsung users and expound IOS superiority
A habit I noted he has since Note/Note2 days. His words n phrases are now exactly similar to the banned famed forumer KuLi. Something he cannot hide...he had posted too under several usernames too when banned.

I am interested to see how this Note4 display will fare under sunlight. So far the only phone unbeatable n unmatched I had experienced is Nokia 1520. You can easily read even at its lower level of brightness.

if not note 4, but other device, let's say note 3........the plan is still among the 3 below:

maxis one plan, celcom first plan or digi smart plan....

so, which is currently the better one? anyone using any of those plan?
*
Decide based on your budget n how much data you need. Only you will know better than any of us
Your calls n SMS volume will affect your decision too
There is no best plan . Is basically your own decision
If LTE is important consider only Maxis n Celcom as they offer 2 bands n generally better coverage

The GAPGATE issue of this phone I feel is an overblown issue : if you had read the Note 2 manual page 139 - it is similarly stated here :

Troubleshooting
Pg 139
Another Bluetooth device is not located
• Ensure that the Bluetooth wireless feature is activated on your device.
• Ensure that the Bluetooth wireless feature is activated on the device you wish to connect
to, if necessary.
• Ensure that your device and the other Bluetooth device are within the maximum
Bluetooth range (10 m).
If the tips above do not solve the problem, contact a Samsung Service Centre.
A connection is not established when you connect the device to a
computer
• Ensure that the USB cable you are using is compatible with your device.
• Ensure that you have the proper drivers installed and updated on your computer.
• If you are a Windows XP user, ensure that you have Windows XP Service Pack 3 or higher
installed on your computer.
• Ensure that you have Samsung Kies 2.0 or Windows Media Player 10 or higher installed
on your computer.
A small gap appears around the outside of the device case
• This gap is a necessary manufacturing feature and some minor rocking or vibration of
parts may occur.
• Over time, friction between parts may cause this gap to expand slightly.

Page 176 of Note 3 manual :

Troubleshooting
176
Data stored on the device has been lost
Always make backup copies of all important data stored on the device. Otherwise, you
cannot restore data if it is corrupted or lost. Samsung is not responsible for the loss of data
stored on the device.

Why was these issues never raised or mentioned in Note 2 and Note 3 and suddenly being highlighted for Note 4 ?? Apparently 9.9/10 of those web reviewers were not even aware such a manufacturing feature existed already in Note 2 and Note 3 ?? So I conclude this will not be an issue at all . I had used the Note, Note2 and Note 3 before and seriously I was not even aware there was such an issue. It just take a few users to raise it and it now seems to be a big quality problem of Samsung !!!

Seriously I'd say those who're willing to pay a high price for this phone appreciate the use of the S Pen. I had 2 friends in the media business who has been a faithful supporter of the SPen since Note 1 days. They always like to demo to me what they could do with the SPen. They said the Note had greatly help them in their daily business as they were often on the road and it basically acts as a mini notebook for them. So for those who said the SPen is rubbish, useless etc I'd say probably you don't see the need of it for you. To condemn it is useless is just too childish and immature
When I was working ( now retired already ), The Note and Note2 was a great business tool for me too and I'd really appreciate it. The Note 3 SPen was a great improvement and reviews of the Note4 SPen has been great too
