Fellaini excels at mostly disrupting opponents' defense during set pieces, and holding possession while creating space for the attackers around him. He's also decent at disrupting opponent attacks in central midfield with small and sometimes cynical tackles. Sort of like a classier Flamini. Traditionally, he's a CM though he still lacks the mobility needed to be a true box-to-box.
I see him occupying the central slot together with Herrera, possibly. QUOTE(BendItLikeSafiq @ Sep 10 2014, 04:06 PM) |

ITT: United fans hoping for Fellaini to be "more like Fletcher".
It's like buying Ronaldo and hoping he'd be "more like Amalfitano". |

Leaked: QPR's pre-match talk.
"Now that Di Maria - 'e's world class, watch out for 'im, and of course there''s Wazza, and that Percy bloke - blimey don't let them get the ball. What's that - Mata is playing too? - Christ, lads, you've got no chance." "Ok, that's the tactics sorted, now go out there and don't let yourselves down too badly." From Guardian comments. |

Let's hope Shaw maintains the level of success set by his fellow Southampton alumnus who's since moved on to pastures new, class of 13/14 FTW.

What's all this Vertonghen talk? Is he even a natural center-back? Isn't he more suited on the left?

I would upvote this if I could.
Medel looks like what United needs at the moment, a defensive midfielder who has no problem playing at CB. Excellent at breaking up opponent's flow, aggressive tackler. A bit of a passer too. I was surprised United didn't put in a bid when Cardiff went down. QUOTE(VoiVod @ Sep 26 2014, 10:17 AM) |

You realize there isn't a lot who can outjump the Kangaroo, right? It's about technique, not height. Just ask Crouch. Height is not everything when it comes to physicality, take Ramires for example.
Physicality wise, Medel does fine I feel. Still quite raw, but experienced enough in the Premier League. QUOTE(Failed JJ @ Sep 27 2014, 01:09 AM) But he midget leh, even Tim Cahill also outjump him kao kao in the World Cup. We alry have a few sotongs in defence who are way taller and dunno how to head properly, Medel is not the answer And LVG thinking of putting Carrick in as defender, dear mother of god please no, Enner Valencia and his jumping |
